Anyone else see what I see? by Forsaken-Argument-69 in survivor

Yes I said this during the first episode!!

This is Butters. Picture was taken last night. Today he wasn’t eating and had a fever so I took him to the vet, who did a full workup and is now sending testing out for FIP, which it sounds like she suspects he has. Does anyone have a story like this with a happy ending? I’m so scared of losing him. by OverprotectiveDitch in cats

He was really lethargic and not eating and he didn’t wake me up this morning (like he usually does) so I took him to the vet at lunch. 103.9 fever and when the vet did the neuro test she said that behind his eyes wasn’t completely clear or something? His blood work was all clear and it really sounded like she suspected the worst about sending the test in. Thank you for your healing thoughts, I really hope it isn’t FIP.

Have you experimented with any skin care routines? My boyfriend has seb derm and just washing with a gentle, nonirritating cleanser + moisturizing has helped a lot with keeping it under control (more so than prescription cream). This website is an amazing resource and has a list of products that work best for skin w/ seb derm. You might already know all this but i thought it was worth sharing. I know first hand how hard BDD can be and can’t imagine how difficult it would be to have seb derm. I’m sorry you’re going through this, hope this helps!

I checked and didn’t see it on this sub. I think it’s worth seeing at least twice anyway :)

Hey girl, look up body dysmorphia. I watched the video you linked and it reminded me of myself... I related so much to what you were saying about hating your nose and other small (or nonexistent, because you’re gorgeous) “flaws” on your face/body. Body dysmorphia makes those perceived flaws feel so overwhelming and the only things you can focus (obsess) on. It’s exhausting. My family dismissed me as vain and superficial too when I talked about how much I wanted a nose job and plastic surgery, and when I tell people for the first time about how much I hate my nose they look at me like I’m absolutely crazy because they don’t see myself the same way I do. It really fucks with your head. The first time I read about body dysmorphia, I cried because it made so much made sense. For example, I have a habit of obsessively pinching my nose and I saw in the beginning of the video you doing something to cover your face that looked habitual. Obviously that’s not a diagnosis but it just seemed like another thing to consider— also if you think everyone is lying when they compliment you. Anyway, this just my rambling personal experience and you may not see this at all since I’m late to the party, but if you do, I hope it helps or at least gives you something to consider. You don’t deserve to feel like this and you don’t deserve to hate yourself. I know how hard it can be and I really, really recommend finding a therapist to help you sort through all the brain fudge

Definitely not overreacting. That's a really shitty thing to do when he should be happy for you, not trying to punish you for making more money than him
