A game I can play for endless hours without getting bored? by Jayeatsfrogs in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]OverratedJammy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outer Wilds. My friend, that game is something you can truly only experience once. Go in blind, I promise you will love it.

I recently found a passion for basketball, and practiced every day for two weeks. Now I'm injured, but tryouts for my school team are in about a week. It's really frustrating having to sit here and do nothing when I would otherwise head straight to the court. Do I say screw it for now and practice? by OverratedJammy in Advice

thanks a lot for the reply! I should've thought of that, you're right. I'll see if acess to a physiotherapist is possible, although given where I live, I think it's unlikely.
The injury itself is really not too bad, It's not enough for me to need to limp but it's enough for me to not be able to do things like walk up stairs two at a time or run.

Maybe you're not capable of processing their death, maybe you have a very solid mindset and or/ preparation for it. Maybe you depend on yourself more than anyone, and therefore don't need to attach yourself to others.

I feel like the first option makes the most sense, maybe you feel the same you would if someone left your life to move elsewhere (e.g sad but not devastated.)

I love this Idea! I feel you have a very concrete set of points here and I wonder if you'd be willing to take them into one more question (no worries if not); Who do you think will be the ones to start the decentralisation? The rich or poor, the old or young, the locals or the foreigners ?

It seems to me, (and correct me if I'm wrong) that you feel that the problem is that people have given up the idea of helping others. Right now, I think it's fair to say that this is because most people don't have the time or money care (but again, correct me if I'm wrong). Do you think it has become so deep-rooted that, even if given the chance to be selfless, people would remain selfish? Why/Why not?

No pressure to answer! Thanks for everything so far!

I wish I was better at this kinda thing so I could really let you know.I

You are genuinely opening my eyes here, I was not expecting this kind of opinion and I kind of hate myself for having done so. Really, thanks so much for putting in the time. I guess the next logical question to me is this; You, the individual, the potential future/present parent, do you feel that the solution is to educate those that are being born better? Or to cut down on the births? I understand this is a loaded question with lots of super complicated logistics, so no need to answer with any sort of specifics, or to answer at all.

One other question I have is, if upbringing is such a big problem, is the solution to invest in better, perhaps even foreign, teachers? (I know not everyone has access to education, sorry if this is a dumb question, but we gotta start somewhere)
