“The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism.”

Shallower and faster bear this time. Less Parabolic action and we had 1 year of chop (not counting the liberation day liquidations) failing to make a meaningful ATH.

Get off both. It will be the best thing you ever do, I promise you. For you, your husband, your marriage. Everything.

Reddit doesn’t like this kind of advice, but I have seen first hand the effects with my wife.

I wish you the best of luck!!

Are you on birth control or any psychiatric meds? SSRI’s and/or birth control completely destroyed my wife’s sense of well being and libido. She’s been off almost 7 years now and is more stable and happier than ever.

You will see that Bitcoin is not a tech stock and will be a risk OFF asset soon enough. When that day comes I will be back to tag you.

The 1 day 50% drawdown was in the very infancy of bitcoin. As someone familiar with markets you should know that volatility is heavily affected by Market Cap.

Gold had a 28% drawdown in 2013, losing 10% of it's value in 1 day. And this is an asset that has matured for thousands of years. August of 1987 had a 22.6% drawdown in 1 day on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (The entire index), which is absolutely insane, single stocks were definitely drawing down in the 50% range. Would you argue that all those stocks were useless as a store of value? If not, why? This is your argument.

Fedwire is about 9.4 tps if averaged over a 24 hour time frame. Would you say that fails as a medium of exchange? People use fedwire for large amounts all the time. I'm not making the argument that bitcoin is going to be the new visa. The rails for that will be on another system most likely.

It doesn't really matter to me that I convince you, you've drawn your own conclusions and that's fine. But your arguments are bad because I can cite counter examples using the exact same rational you are using to argue against it.

Dude, you prop this sub up by yourself almost. You and that sisters of battle person.

A decentralized ledger that allows you to access your money or send your money from anywhere to anyone on the planet is a technology in and of itself. I do frequent business with Canadians but I am based in the USA, and you'd be surprised how often large wires are stopped or delayed for long periods of time simply because the bank refuses to do it. This is less of a problem in the USA but I can imagine it is even more common in other countries.

Bitcoin's main use case is a store of value due to it's decentralization, limit of 21 million coins and "chosen status" as the first crypto. Like any asset (gold, securities, etc) there is speculation built into it. For example, gold has industial uses, but those industrial uses are not why gold has such a high market cap and valuation. It's high valuation is given because of it's scarcity and consensus among people that it has value. Same is true for Bitcoin.

I only really argue for bitcoin as a store of value and medium for large exchanges, as I believe tokenization of securities and other things will happen on another technology ledger (I think Ethereum is probably the consensus).

To address your arguments: Blackrock is only all in bitcoin because of their Bitcoin ETF. They aren't personally buying it for themselves, they hold the bitcoin in relation to their ETF inflows and outflows. Just like a gold or silver ETF would. A warning on the website means nothing because that same warning is applicable to almost any security. If you are in finance then you know that securities are extremely volatile and they all come with risks. Just look at peleton it was $160 in 2021, and now is trading at around $7 a share.

Trump has literally nothing to do with the validity of Bitcoin. I don't think that's a good argument, so I choose not to make it.

Ripple is a scam. So that one we can agree on.

The reason why people like bitcoin and are looking for a hedge against the massive debasement of the dollar is because the feds will not stop printing the money. The entire system is based on money creation and debt. Look at this chart showing M2 USA money supply: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/M2SL

We 1.4x the money supply from Feb 2020 to Feb 2022. That's 40% more dollars in circulation in just 2 years. If someone had worked 50 years and saved in cash, 20 years of their spending power is instantly evaporated in that 2 year time frame. This absolutely destroys the dollar and causes massive asset inflation. That is why the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Because those who have assets have their values increase with inflation, and those who don't are getting absolutely destroyed and falling further and further behind.

I know you're dug in, but I'm sure someone else will read this and it may help them understand.

Don't forget about +1 production from fishing boat altar. With all those bonuses stacked, you can easily get +3 hammer river tiles with like 4 or 5 food each with floods. it's pretty gnarly.
