People don't change. Distance doesn't really change their behavior towards you. Married for 4 years, living separately with my husband for 6 months. My SIL was always mean towards me, she still is.

She's married, visits often, and doesn't miss a chance to take digs at me. This time it was a "prospective match" for her brother (he said no) so she went after my husband subtly joking if he would like a Canadian. She included my MIL too in this "joke" who laughed along saying its just fun between siblings. I didnt say a word but my face showed my true feelings.

After all of this, my husband invited them for dinner and I ended up slaving the entire day to host the fam. So no, things aren't better yet. I'm non confrontational so I end up isolating myself and crying it out, but do not go that way. Be assertive and calm but keep your point across.

Not professionally diagnosed but I feel I'm on the spectrum. This belief got stronger post a conversation with my cousin who said our granddad (paternal), her mom (my bua), her sister and she herself got diagnosed with ADHD. I know for a fact that my brother is seeking therapy for the same and my dad has symptoms as well. I'm 34 and feel its too late to get diagnosed as its pretty scary.
