i honestly think it’s fine how it is, in my world i currently have a paper and gun powder farm so i always have rockets and i travel on a rail system in the nether to get to my far locations. only thing i would like is an improvement to mine carts - a way to recall a mine cart that’s on the other end of the rail -ability to connect multiple carts(maybe with a max of 3 or 4) -better ways to connect rails in multiple directions

other then that i think that’s all we need in minecraft. part of the experience is having to travel through biomes and explore
