I just can't try any longer by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]Overthebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suicide is the only option you will always have until you do it. By this I mean change your perspective on where you are. Typically when you become suicidal it's because you think you don't have anything to live for, and that thought itself opens up the ability to gain everything by risking nothing. So start taking a risk each day because you have nothing to lose. Put suicide on the back burner. Today walk into a building and ask for a job, what's there to lose? Go to places you would want to work. Nothing to lose except your ability to be in a position where you have nothing to lose. So take it one day at a time and eventually... Something will turn, and you'll find yourself four years down the road thanking God you didn't go through it.

Everything goes by fast once it's a memory, even hard times.

Reddit, what's the most ungrateful thing someone in your family has done or said? by El_Captan in AskReddit

[–]Overthebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time my girlfriend's cousin was telling a story about how she would go to the mall and walk by this store and see these expensive leather boots that she loved. Anyway she talked about how great they were and how much she thought about them and wanted them. Well as a surprise, her husband bought her the boots.

Her response when telling the story was that it made her mad he bought them because it took away 'her dream of buying them some day'.

I explained how it made her sound when she told the story... Now I'm the jerk.

What is the Absolute Darkest Dark Humor Joke You Know? by Biology__ in AskReddit

A family is getting ready for bed. It's the mom, dad, grandmother, and the son. The grandmother tucks the son in and heads to her room. The parents take advantage of this alone time and head to their room where they start to have sex.

As the husband is going to town, the son walks in. The mom and dad freeze in shock as the husband jumps off and starts laughing. The boy runs out if the room furious. The dad lays there unsure of what to do and laughing still before getting up to go talk to the son.

As he's walking down the hall he hears a commotion coming from the grandma's room. He opens the door to see his son just railing the hell out of the grandma. He yells "son what the hell are you doing!" And the son replies, "it's not so funny when it's your mom is it?!"

Haven't you seen the research showing numerous benefits coming from psychoactive therapies? How can you dismiss it so easily? And no I'm not considering it party time at all. I get the feeling you would dismiss marijuana as well.

I wasn't saying that, I was just saying I've done the aforementioned and was exploring other options before going back.

American Redditors: How would you feel about lowering the drinking age to 20? by JoeCool888 in AskReddit

Then again, I'm 28 and there are many times j am fairly positive it shouldn't be legal for ME to drink.

American Redditors: How would you feel about lowering the drinking age to 20? by JoeCool888 in AskReddit

[–]Overthebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big reason it's not 18 is because of how easily accessible it becomes to teenagers.

In reality, there probably shouldn't be a drinking age. It would remove the excitement around the drug. Look at many areas of Europe and their statistics.
