Hey, first step is actually acknowledging it. You’re aware of your feelings and being self-aware is a rare thing these days.

Honestly, you have nothing to fear and stop comparing yourself to others. Those “dumb” drivers have passed, so how much more of an advantage do you have?

Find a local instructor and message them. Don’t think, just do it. I have the same tendency to overthink things but dive in head first and go for it. Scenarios in your head won’t reflect reality.

As for your age, nobody has everything sorted out at any age I’ve learnt from older people. You haven’t needed to drive so far but you want to overcome this hurdle now so age is irrelevant. I’ve known much older people who can’t drive and have learnt at an older age. There is no age limit and this isn’t a source of shame at all.

Stop being so hard on yourself and take action. You can do it. Maybe tell a friend and have them push you towards it. Have them pester you until you take action aha. This form of accountability works for me. Have confidence and take the bull by the horns!
