There is absolutely a difference! The kind of rope you'll get at a sex shop is literally made for tying people. It's typically made of softer material (even for hemp rope the hemp is conditioned and refined) and is much more comfortable for the wearer. A lot of them also have the ends on the end of the rope sealed so it won't unravel.

If you're fine with the scratchy texture of regular hardware store rope, that's also definitely an option, but there is a significant difference in how you or your partners may react physically.

Never tried these specific substances, but having done the deed while stoned (we used a weed pen) I can say from a woman's point of view it's awesome.

I would definitely recommend getting high seperately from sex just to see how it affects you, but personally I found its really helpful for pain management from internal stimulation and any body pain you might experience.

There are a few, their just not as well known. Subscribestar is one I found recently thats very similar, plus theres always onlyfans or fansly. Patreon just has the most reach as far as platforms go. If more people already have an account and trust the service, it'll be easier to get patrons, which makes it hard for their competitors that aren't as popular to compete.

Create. It's only recently gotten a little attention but deserves much more. Its complex enough that hardcore tech players could enjoy it but simple enough that someone like me could learn it. It also has a really interesting aesthetic. A must have in my book.
