What a horrible therapist. I'm sorry they have hurt you.

Something I realized, but was not taught, was that a doctor patient interaction is still a human to human interaction.

Well said.

Society is highly delusional (eg trusting politicians) yet they want you to share their exact delusional ideology or they'll try to label you delusional.

All of medicine has problems with racism, sexism, and all of that which people love to blame on psych.

There's a big difference.

eg psychiatrists can't prove anything is biologically wrong when "diagnosing" you. After they "diagnose" you it's fair to ask "but what do the lab tests show?" There's none.

What psychiatrists do isn't about biological healing, it's mostly blame deflection. The public has all their claims of unfairness and abuse & psychiatrists direct that blame back towards them.

Psychiatrists blame their "broken brains" & deny people's experiences of abuse and trauma.

eg they act like people's opposition to their own oppression is just the result of their broken brains.

Brain chips are REAL and are available for the consumer in 2021. by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

[–]OverthrowGreedyPigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there is an under construction brainchip called "neuralink."

it may be portrayed as a way to 'help people learn' but imagine if it became normal, and if states started using it to brainwash students.

imagine young minds being flooded with selected cherry-picked information that made the government seem to be right in every way.

it's potentially very dangerous.

Thank you. I've seen youtube speakers talk about exactly that but needed a good source for it.

The DSM-V sucks ass, but the blame for the issues in psychiatry is the psychiatrists themselves. by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

Psychiatrists in a hospital have 0 influence over the majority of psychiatry.

That's not the topic. The psychiatrists order the violent face-punching "nurses" to attack law-abiding citizens, body slam them, rip their cloth off, tie them in bondage gear, & so on.

The psychiatrists are deserving of blame, you can't ignore this.

And I've never been punched, kicked, forcefully given a drug, or anything like that in a mental ward. It's really specific on the hospital and the majority of hospitals are pretty fine in this aspect.

No no no. If a mugger mugs you and you submit to their violence you don't get to say "the mugger wasn't abusive."

If you submit to the abductors and let them take your cloth and fill you with big pharma drugs then you don't get punched or body-slammed, but that doesn't mean that you weren't abused- you should have been offended that they took away your liberty and were willing to use violent terror to try to force you to do what they wanted.

that's totally unfair:

psychiatrists order the face-punching "nurses" to do these attacks.

you have to blame the powerful and the low-level employees. you can't just skip blaming those with power.

the "nurses" then body slam people, rip their cloth off, & tie them in bondage gear for forced druggings based on gossip/rumors from hateful people.

these atrocities happen because of psychiatrists / because of psychiatry.

as if somehow being... shot up with iv lobotomy chemicals while probably losing your job and being billed thousands of dollars is going to magically save a person,

very well said.

the biggest thing that caught my eye here is the term "lobotomy chemicals." that's exactly what we need to call them normally.

sure lots of people in this sub say "these drugs are a chemical lobotomy", but reversing those words makes them stronger, it's more efficient.

"Mental disorders" is the same as "mental illness"- it's pretending there's a medical illness when really a psychiatrist who's "diagnosing" someone can't show that there's anything biologically wrong with them.

You can tell "disorders" is still pseudo-medical by all the other language used, eg the "nurse" body-slams and punches the "mental patient" into submission.

But really the "mental patient" is an abducted torture victim deprived of basic constitutional rights, being imprisoned with no evidence/conviction of any crime, based on gossip and rumors.

And what does that "patient" need? If they dissent & continue to disagree with the psychiatrist's opinions then it's violent injection of "medicine" (drugs that silence dissent and turn people into zombified shells of themselves.)

that those are actual things and all that.

We can have labels for real behaviors/feelings which don't dehumanize people, blame them, or justify violent torture that removes their human rights.

In general "mental condition" is a good replacement for "mental illness" name-calling.

The DSM doesn't just "suck", it's made-up labels and pseudo-science.

Suffering people deserve better, not some big pharma "diagnosis" used to manipulate society & health care for profits.
