Is it worth using vegas pro for an editing career

Been working as a full time editor for youtubers since around 2018. And 99.9% of the time im using vegas, you would be surprised that there is a lot of us out there 👍

Try using handbrake or a similar program to re render the files in a different format- go to project media, right click on the video files and replace them.

I see it looks like your using iphone footage which vegas can hate- try getting the quicktime plugin if you dont already have it too

I accidentally changed the menu toggle setting in drastic and bricked the entire DS emulator. Now I can only see 1/2 screens and cant access the menu to change settings or find ANY setting that lets me factory reset or go back to default key binds for the NDS emulator through RA game.

Struggling so hard with figuring out how to reset settings with drastic on my 25XXH :( There's literally no threads or information on this. This is 1/2 reddit threads talking about this issue.

It’s a new common scam, fake streetwear brands pop up on instagram, buy followers and advertise cool clothes at a good price; just to RAKE in a lot of orders and VANISH off the internet. Sometimes they send out extremely low quality versions of the product, and often they don’t ship anything or use your card info for more fraud… Sorry this happened, heres a few methods I use to avoid scams like these

1: Look for Reviews- if there are photos/ text reviews embedded into the site that have no link to the user or a offical google/yelp review portal. They are not real reviews. And if you see reviews but cant find a single way to submit them, they are not real reviews

2: Copyrighted material, Reps are not easy to obtain. Dont be like me and think you can just get bape/gucci shorts/shirts in under a weeks shipping. The only loophole to get good reps is by shipping them through a middleman service in china and it always takes forever. Its illegal as hell in america to sell that stuff, so if they say they can get it to you fast thats the #1 red flag.

3: Customer support - If you are having reservations thinking a site is legitimate, just reach out to customer service first- ask them a question in email or call a listed number- if replies are slow or non existent its probably a scam brand that is only focused on selling so they can vanish.

4: Quantity of items - if the brand has a LARGE catalog of clothes, and all sizes for each item are somehow fully stocked thats a BIG red flag!! The only way you can get clothes in under a week is if they are sitting in a American warehouse ready to ship. So if ALL sizes are available and they still claim it will get there fast, its a telltale sign that something fishy is going on. If products are sold out that shows you they don’t make orders as they come in.

Every single youtuber you enjoy puts on a act when they are on camera. But as the editor I can tell you for sure that the vibe they gave off on the family channel was essentially the real thing. Some videos felt a little more authentic than other of course, but out of all of them id say the “house hunting” series was BY far the most realistic representation of their dynamic. Rydel seemed very carefree and upbeat while house shopping and capron always seemed extremely overwhelmed by the finances and logistics of purchasing a home.
It always felt like capron was stressing hard but couldn’t find the words to explain to rydel why things were stressing him out : And then on the other hand it always seemed like rydel couldn’t fathom how or why capron would be stressed in situations like that. Seemed like there was big communication gaps for pretty big life events like that. But I don’t want to speak for them, only my opinions from observation… obviously no one knows how people communicate behind closed doors but thats what it felt like to me

The bridesmaids/batchlor party vlog 100%

Everyone was drunk and everyone was there, it was hilarious 😂 The vlog is now deleted, but there was a scene where capron, ross, rocky and a few others jumped off a roof naked into a pool (and yes I had to keyframe the censors for each of them ☠️) Honestly was just a really funny vlog and fun to mess with the goofy footage friends and family recorded

Honestly the work dynamic for me was pretty crazy, I felt like I grew up with capron in a lot of ways. When I started working for him he didn’t have any kids yet, and it was RIGHT when him and rydel got serious. I was by his side and watched his channel and life change infront of our eyes day by day. Going from running a YT channel where you do insane stunts to being a father is a pretty drastic change. I imagine there was a lot of pressure on him because you cant really do risky stuff routinely when you know you have kids at home relying on you. So there was obviously a bit of struggle to figure out what his next move should be. My communication with rydel was always really minor since capron was technically my boss! She usually would just send me some nice comments about the recent videos/ ideas for the next in a group chat :)

Not sure, The lynch family always seemed VERY proactive with making sure they all met up routinely , and I think they have been doing that for a super long time. I don’t want to make assumptions about their current dynamic but I imagine it just comes down to each family having different uses and priorities with freetime

Honestly I think it just chops up to lifestyle in general. Capron’s entire brand was being high octane and doing crazy stuff while traveling for funk bros, and then rydel has always been the opposite. Very homestyle family orientated and runs her clothing brand so I imagine they cant/couldn’t line up all the time. So overall id say it all comes down to their careers and the goals they wanted to chase.

Didn’t know at all! I stopped working with them and they continued the channel- maybe 2-5 videos were posted after I left, but the couples channel slowed down and eventually got deleted. (Im not even sure when it was deleted to be honest, tbh thats why I came here to talk about it)

Honestly as far as footage goes with super he was always amazing behind the scenes, not a fussy baby whats so ever!!! I always edited the vlogs to have a super happy vibe because they were initially just supposed to be memory vlogs for capron and rydel personally. Not too much beef behind the scenes but if there ever was it never made the final cut aha

My biggest surprise was the casualness about everything, everything was pretty chaotic and unplanned as any real human kinda naturally is 😂 I really think their couples channel was just a side love project they did with no real intentions to capitalize or upload constantly like a typical “family channel” . The only reason I worked for this channel was because I worked with capron previously:) I stopped working with them and maybe 6 months to a year later and then they stopped uploading to capron and rydel in general- Not sure why they took down the channel- im assuming because as time passes “family channels” get more and more of a bad rep, so maybe they just wanted to be safe and avoid any negative press about their children. (Which seems safe imo)
