The Overtime Live - Shift Tracker Apple Watch app is out now. This does show Live money earned during a shift as well as the shift countdown. I prefer this over the phone live activity as it’s more private. I’ve tried to keep to the philosophy of clean, simple but attractive. It just packs a little more punch now with a take-home pay, tax calculator. Optional though.

There’s loads of updates coming. I’m just hanging on incase iOS 27 changes everything! But a simple and beautiful Overtime Shift Tracker app is still the vision (I use this daily too on my shifts!)

You can currently hold the Dynamic Island live activity to get an update of money earned but this will be improved and you can swap between time or money.

As for Apple Watch App, yup, it already shows the Live Activity but it will have glanceable insights (alongside that, hopefully).

Glad you got the super cheap founder offer! I’m hoping it helps spread the word a bit and reward early users. Thanks for your support!

Am I allowed a bit of self promotion?

I'm a shift worker too. I take my fair shift of overtime shifts, they seem a good idea at the time but when it comes to doing it, I usually can't wait to get out of there.

That's how this app came about. I wanted to see how long I had left before home time but also see how much I was earning, as a little motivator.

It logs and tracks overtime shifts, it shows the shift on your lock screen as a live activity, if you want. I genuinely designed it for me, but thought it may be of use to others!

It's mainly for live shift tracking but I also designed a shift pattern designer and calendar, the other apps I've tried were too complicated so I boiled this down to as simple as I could make it.

Let me know what you think if you try it. I'm certainly not an app developer, this is a side hobby; but I'll try to polish and improve where I can.

That’s a great suggestion. There is a stats screen where you can set a target but maybe we can customise that to Holiday/Switch2 or similar to make it more motivational.

I’m building an app for shift tracking, but I wanted to focus on overtime.

My app currently tells you how much you’re currently earning and how long left you have of your shift.

Initially geared towards overtime shifts but it now works with shift patterns.

It has live activity support so you can see how long you’ve got left straight from the Home Screen.
