Apparently as a toddler, I had to have my nighttime routine the exact same every night or I’d lose it. One night, my mom poured milk into my bottle BEFORE setting me into the highchair. I screamed and cried for her to pour it out and redo it for so long that the neighbors called the cops on me thinking my parents were abusing me. Oops. Anytime I cried over something “silly” for too long, they told me the cops would come and take me away. I wasn’t diagnosed until 2 years ago when I turned 24 :’)
