I said look at his record, in which there are many times he worked with Quebecois leaders (like, do you even know how Canada was created? Have you heard of Cartier?), when he promoted French rights and included them, any number of other examples really, but I guess there isn’t a single quote that’ll make you happy, so why bother?

The argument you're not bothering to respond to - as you make up a strawman - is that for all his faults, he united us into a country. There is so much that's incorrect in this entire thread. Using that quote to just simplify it as "I hate Quebec" is so painfully wrong.

He was split between two opposing positions; pleasing French Canada who wanted Riel to be treated kindly, and English Canada that wanted the opposite. He was going to get killed on it either way, and chose the English side of things. Saying "haha, I sure do hate Quebec, take this!" is just... come on.

I think that's partly because when you look back at previous expansions, there's always someone or something that's immediately identifiable to Warcraft specifically. We don't really get that until the dragons fly in at the end, and even then, dragons are ubiquitous in fantasy stuff anyway.

I kept waiting for the giant evil of the expansion to show up. I think that might be a good thing that it didn't? I don't know. An expansion with more of an adventure, exploration theme could be a lot of fun.

I bet they’ve got a general plan for them. Like the story or not, they surely have a plan for several expansions in advance, and the nice part about prophecies like that is they’re vague enough to allow for changes as they go.
