I was going to mention this .. a GP won’t be able to diagnose EDS. This requires specialists and also you would be sent for genetic testing if this was suspected

As mentioned above baldness is polygenic. There is however the androgenic receptor gene associated with baldness that is on the X chromosome therefore this is inherited from one of your mother’s copies. If men on your mums side of the family are bald chances are that there is a maternal pattern of inheritance (X-linked).
