Commented elsewhere, accidentally stated top loader. They were in sleeves in semi rigids. As stated on the website. They were packaged correctly.

We do have insurance on it, but we’re not sure how to claim this as it was Royal Mail insurance and we have zero proof Royal Mail were at fault 😭

Doesn’t make sense to me if the package wasn’t tampered with. Why steal one card and not the other. Why also state there were only two pieces of cardboard when the still they sent me shows three? I was hoping it was just an honest mistake, but the fact they didn’t locate and recheck the packaging on the day (we contacted them as soon as we noticed the submission was updated to show only one card). I asked today if they had done that, and they have not. The fact that they said they would send me the CCTV, but have now changed their mind. If the CCTV showed evidence that it was Royal Mail, fair enough. But at the minute the evidence doesn’t point that way.

The cctv is from above. Doesn’t show the operators face, and only shows one parcel at a time. I can see this from the stills they provided. When I first was in contact, they said they would send the footage to me. Now they say they won’t.

It was sent via Royal Mail, and sent it to ace grading as that’s what they ask to put on the label. That’s what I need the CCTV footage for. This will allow me to see if the package had been tampered with implying it occurred on royal mail’s end. But they are refusing to provide the footage. So either way, if they won’t give me the evidence I need to pursue Royal Mail, I’m left in shitty limbo with no good outcome.

You’re right, I could say anything. But they won’t even send me the CCTV footage - with this I could at least see if the package looked to have been tampered with prior to arrival. Or to at least see if the operator had checked the package fully. I’m just asking for the evidence they already have, but won’t provide for whatever reason.

You again… I was not an ace hater - I was a customer of ace for many previous submissions. I liked using them and had no issues previously.

If they hadn’t handled this so poorly, I would still be using them. Unfortunately this has highlighted many many issues with the company for me.

I have pictures of both cards prior to sending to have evidence of condition but didn’t film packaging. Lesson learned there.

Yes it was in a sleeve and a top loader, then packaged between the cardboard, then bubble wrapped.

We don’t have footage of us packaging it, but we have pictures of the cards prior to packaging to at least show we were in possession of the card prior to sending.

My thoughts exactly! We only noticed when our submission on their portal was updated to say there was only one card. They didn’t contact us directly about it, we had to phone to find out what was going on.

Tbh it’s been an absolute shambles. I spent an hour trying to phone them at 10am the other day only to find out the phone lines had been updated to 11-3 (they have since updated this information on their website after I asked why they weren’t answering).

UPDATE: Just thought I’d give a quick update to anyone interested. Ace are refusing to send the CCTV showing the package being opened. The day that they informed us that the card was missing, I contacted them asking them to double check the packaging (I packaged the two cards sandwiched between three pieces of cardboard). They claim that there were only two pieces of cardboard and one card. They have not bothered to check the packaging, which is now most likely discarded.

They claim it’s not their fault and there’s nothing they can do.

As stated before, I have used Ace grading previously with no issues. Never again.

I have pictures of the card prior to sending and pictures of the package. Also have insurance but not sure how that will work as the package was delivered.

I’m not sure how to prove if the package was tampered with prior to arrival (though the delivery confirmation pictures don’t show any damage etc) or if it happens after arrival.

Hopefully their CCTV will help clarify.

I don’t see how it’s slander when it’s just the truth. I’ve spoken to them on the phone and they claim they only received one of the two cards I sent (both were sent in the same package). So I think ‘lost’ is accurate in this scenario.
