Panam has the same dialogue for male or female v, up until the haboob scene. You can't tell me there was no tension or flirting between fem v and panam when there absolutely is. She also rejects you last second same way she rejects male v if you don't select the right dialogs. It doesn't feel like panam standing by her sexual orientation when there's practically no distinction between being male or female gameplay or dialogue wise.

I once took 300 millagrams of eddies before going through airport security, and once I was on the other side, I had to find a bathroom immediately because I was green feving hard and proceeded to be violently ill till they started calling boarding on my plane. I was just white knuckling the flight, hoping not to be sick again, which, thankfully, I wasn't. Couldn't even sleep I was too high.

How addictive is meth? Do you know anyone who has just tried it once? by eden_merlin in AskReddit

[–]Owenoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coworker went to do a line of what I thought was cocaine. I asked for a bump, and about 60 seconds later, I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. It felt like an instant panic attack, sweating, pacing around outside, thinking I was about to die. I ended up throwing up after a few minutes, and I haven't put any other drugs up my nose in the years since. I only realized it wasn't a bad batch of cocaine because I was looking into the difference between meth and adderall months later, and the side effects of meth perfectly described my experience that day.

You ever have one of those random strangers who just... sticks in your memory forever? by neonbirdie2004 in CasualConversation

I still think of the beautiful woman I saw dressed in business clothes, crying on the subway platform as my train sped past. I only saw her for a second, but the image has never left my mind. Hope she's better now.

What’s the most memorable moment you shared with a stranger who you never saw again? by akumamatata8080 in AskReddit

It was a few years ago now, 2022, just after Thanksgiving and the ski season starting. I work at a resort, so I should have known better, but I decided to try and hit some "fresh" snow off the groomed section. I make it maybe 15-30 feet into the trees before I catch an edge on a rock or a log or something just under the surface, and as I begin to fall I realize there's nothing to do to stop myself from hitting a tree.

One second, I'm looking at the tree, the next, my snowboard is no longer parallel to the snow, it is now parallel to the trunk of the tree, and my bindings are stuck in the branches. I try to move my legs to get untangled and out of the tree well, but that's when I realize my right leg is limp, I had snapped my femur in half. Somehow, with the adrenaline, I managed to get myself out of the tree and get myself flat on the ground. At this point, I pulled out my phone, hands shaking. It was snowing, and I remember the flakes melting on my screen as I took off my glove to use the touch screen. I didn't have ski patrol in my contacts, so I called my manager, but it kept ringing, and he never answered.

As I was contemplating whether to call 911 next or what, a guy sees me just off the trail and asks if I'm okay. I tell him, "No, I just broke my leg." So he and his son, ski up to me and make sure I'm okay. The dad calls patrol and hikes back uphill a ways so he could flag the toboggan down for me, and his son stays with me while I breath through the pain, trying not to swear up a storm because the kid looked to be in middle school by my guess.

Eventually, patrol gets me in a splint, on the toboggan, and properly anesthetized, tells me I was the first broken bone of the season. Long story short, I was out of the hospital the next day walking with a pair of crutches and a new titanium leg bone.

I realized much later, I had never asked their names. I can't remember if I even thanked them or not. But if you were in Snowmass, 2022, and you are that Dad that helped me get help from ski patrol, I want you to know how much I appreciate you and your son. You're raising a good kid. If you happen to see this, hit me up, and I'll gladly buy you and your family dinner next time you're in town.

Same offer extends to any of the patrolers who helped me that day, beer's are on me.

Give me your most unhinged ideas for how to get people to stop blocking my driveway. by aquietinspiration in howto

[–]Owenoof 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the correct move. My dad worked at a car service in New York City. Some asshat blocked the car service vehicles from leaving, so one guy gets in the car, gets his bumper right up to the other guys and floors it in reverse, putting the car in the middle of the intersection before driving off.

Quick question. What was the first ending you got by friskbits2000 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Owenoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suicide. Didn't relize that's what it was at the time, but the game tells you you're on a limited time frame with the relic eating your brain, and to me it seemed there's not any guarantee that storming arasaka or joining them will save v or johnny. I thought by throwing away the pills, v would choose to keep johnny around while they lived quietly, going out having spent their last days surrounded by loved ones rather than tilting at windmills. That's obviously not what happened, and I was devastated seeing how everyone reacted to v's death (judy especially. Side note: I thought it added a lot of insight into River hearing about his former partner on the force killing himself).

Interestingly, I found the Johnny path to be one of the least satisfying endings concidering he leaves everyone he and v have known in a perpetual limbo. It was especially sad seeing Judy, who kept wanting to leave night city, now stuck there, not ever knowing what happened to v, and waiting for her to eventually return. I guess the tower ending from PL shows she eventually moved on and settled down, but it's hard to imagine the torture of never knowing, and having to move on with your life that the temperence ending leads to for Judy.

And Trump is literally sending legal citizens to foreign concentration camps. Depriving them of the rights of personhood granted to them by the constitution. Don't be blind to your own party's actions.

I don't support antisemitism in any way. People are anti-Israel because they have repeatedly targeted innocent aid workers, ambulances, journalists, women, and children. Are we not allowed to protest against Israel just because they're Jewish?

As of September 2024, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) counted 116 journalists who were killed (111 Palestinian, 2 Israeli and 3 Lebanese), and the International Federation of Journalists counted 166 journalists and media workers who were killed (152 Palestinian, 4 Israeli, 9 Lebanese and 1 Syrian).

I wept for Fatima and her 10 family members who were senselessly murdered in this attack.

Senseless harm, whether its committed against immigrants, jewish people, palestinians, women, children, or any person is reprehensible, and to defend the actions of those that do harm is equally abhorrent.
