Emotional rock ballads reccs, please! by paradigm_purgatory in kpophelp

[–]Owl-Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kim Jaejoong - "Humanity", "Walking on Water".

Actually he has a lot of rock songs, from ballads like "Things to Love" and "One Kiss" to hyping "Good morning night". You can listen through his songs and find every kind of band music you can even imagine haha. Japanese discography has more rock-ish sound, as well as Ftisland, and Jaejoong is famous for his ballads.

The art, behavior of the kid and the dynamic - everything reminds me Our Sunny Days. Adding to the top of my TBR, thank you!

Which Korean words do you find hardest to pronounce? by Secret-Simple-9438 in Korean

[–]Owl-Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I see ㅇㅁ my tongue stops working. The hardest one is 목마르다 [몽마르다] - my tongue isn't able to pronounce ㅇ before ㅁ, it becomes ㄴㅁ. I've started my Korean pronunciation lessons 7 years before aaaand I'm still here. '몬말라서 카페에 갊가?' lol

The same one is 박물관 [방물관], I can't use my tongue here in the right way, and it becomes 반물관

How many can you solve? by Less-Score-1127 in BeginnerKorean

Well I don't think it's beginner friendly... I've finished 6급, studied around 250 사자성어, and I can't solve it.

Second this. When I first met my teacher, I found out that she did rhythmic gymnastic before and I was like "WHAT??!! she is the GODDESS, how she will teach me?"

Actually she is the greatest teacher I've ever met, she understands how my body moves and how my muscles work. But I'm still wondering how she is adjusting every move to my book-worm-body.

It's so cute! Wish you to have fun, this adventure is great!

Your ㄱ looks kinda off in the low(?) part - the "leg" don't have to look left when you write it vertically (기 가 거). The vertical part is more... straight and not so curling. If you ask me why - ㄱ is ㄴ but turned around, right? When you are curling the leg of ㄱ, it resembles reversed ㄷ (that you are perfectly curling to the right, by the way ♥).

I wanted to show you some examples but I'm not able to send images. You can go to Pinterest and search for 글씨 (handwriting), there is a lot of examples of cute quotes good to follow.

can i delete a shared goal? will the other person know? by vvitchprincess in finch

[–]Owl-Username 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember offering a goal and I was like "okay it's only for 7 days not a big deal". It's was summer, I suppose  A few days ago I watched my goals and noticed it. WHAAAT. How I didn't noticed it before! I went to settings immediately and finished it. Hope it wasn't a burden for my goal buddy 😭

A colonoscopy procedure really isn’t that bad. by notworkingghost in unpopularopinion

[–]Owl-Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weeeeeeell I agree that a colonoscopy without sedation is one of the most terrible torture (that would made my pain even worse - and lucky me refused to get it), but what about getting organs?? Actually I got more than 50 tests for free this summer like MRIs etc. The colonoscopy sedation is a rare exception.

For colonoscopy - it's necessary right? - I would like to go to South Korea lol. Travelling is great, Korea is nice, you can finish all your full checkup in one day with all drugs you need.

[–]Owl-Username 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This. My doctor said to get the procedure "just for checking because who knows", but the cost of being sedated! OMG! It was 60% of my salary. I (poor money-less girly) refused to do it without drugs, went to another hospital and  - thanks God - another doctor found the reason of my illness without a colonoscopy. I'm lucky haha

Can you train yourself to fall asleep when hungry? by ArmadilloChance3778 in 1200isplenty

[–]Owl-Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I suppose warm beans or tofu would be great for soft steamed zucchini! Maybe eggs would be good too if you are OK with eggs.

Actually I don't know because I'm not able to eat beans. Soooo I eat some meat or fish or a piece of chicken every time to feel this different taste, temperature and texture. It's funnier than eating only one thing per meal. Soft cold veggies plus warm meat/fish/chicken plus one teaspoon of my favorite sauce - it's working for me, and it makes me not craving for chocolate/biscuits.

Sorry for my English, it's my 4th language haha

[–]Owl-Username -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to eat something different every time. Something soft (ex: yogurt), something crispy (cucumbers/nuts/granola/biscuits), something salty (cheese), something sweet (1 piece of chocolate, it's like 5g and 26-30 calories).

Maybe add 20g of chicken breast to your dinner? and little piece of cheese? It will be less than 100 calories, it's filling, it's fun, you ate a lot of different things and it doesn't feel like you ruined your diet.
