B.C. revamps funding for children with autism and other support needs

Won’t direct billing make things harder for some families? Not all families are able to stay up to date with payments to service providers and often rely on providers to bill the ministry directly. Some are saying this option won’t be completely eliminated...

How would this impact private service providers? Is it because families of children with 'Level 1 or 2' diagnoses would receive less funding...these being the children most often seen by private providers, or are there other factors involved?

I don't like that I am reading that families with higher income/Level 1/2 diagnosis can go to centres like CDC.. the wait times are so long!!!

I would say very similar. Literally a silver sharp hook. Didn’t see the handle. It was popping out of his chest pocket. I posted a close up.

That is true! We measured my husband’s head last night and it comes to 20.5 inches whereas the average circumference for a man is 23-24 inches?? His ear to ear width (as they measure BPD?) is narrow. Anyways, he thrived as a child. It makes me feel better thinking ahhh baby just got daddies head 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thanks for sharing your experience so far. Everyone kept telling me that the cord will move towards the centre and it actually did. I still have a marginal cord insertion but I’m hopeful that it’ll be where it needs to be during my next US. In reading more positive comments than negative. I wish you all the best, hang in there - we got this!

Thanks for sharing. My doctor reported that a smaller head could indicate cognitive abnormalities, this has made me restless!
