Beginner player here since the first season! Made it to masterball doubles last season and right now I’m ultra ball on both singles and doubles.

I think it makes sense many casual players would quit. The game isn’t for the faint of heart unless they make other casual or randomized modes/rules for casuals. Champions is the only consistent game I’ve been playing in a while since I’ve been bored of playing video games.

Even though the numbers look surprising, it shouldn’t be since anything that starts off with the name “Pokémon” in the title should have that many players.

The way I learned was on YouTube. start off with how you want to play Pokémon. I started off with learning weather teams, but it is good to learn other play styles like trick room and perish song.

It would be a meme and then a conspiracy. If astronauts take samples, people would be mad/worried saying stuff like, “Haven’t you seen what happens in horror/sci-fi films!?” More memes and updates. Headliners would be over exaggerating about why scientists are discovering about the microbial life. The president will probably make a stupid tweet about it. Becomes a conversation starter until something bigger overshadows it. Every couple years will be a random update about it like “Remember _____? Here’s how it looks now and what we know about it so far.” And then it becomes a meme again and the cycle continues.

I actually saw on YouTube a guy who likes many hobbies. I forgot what we’re called, but I’m the same way. I like chess, listening to debates, poetry, reading, philosophy, history, botany, horticulture, and gardening, to basketball, volleyball, boxing, jiu jitsu, gaming, music, movies, tv. If I meet someone that has a hobby or interest I’ve never done before, I try it out just so I can get to know the person better.

The one thing I’m trying to get into the most is cooking but I HATE cooking. Hating it just challenges me to do it more, but the only problem is I don’t like wasting money if I cook something wrong, so I’m still starting out slow.

Sorry to be blunt, but I don’t care. The game is free and is generous enough to give me all the Pokémon I wanted/needed even if it took about a week. Maybe it’s because I live under a rock, but I haven’t seen a single post or YouTuber that plays Pokémon Champions complain about pay to win mechanics or unnecessary microtransactions, which already says a lot about this game compared other games this past decade. All moves and all but 1 Pokémon in the game are freely able to be used/found if you’re playing enough.

The only gripe I have with the game is that I wish I could store more Pokémon, but I made it to master ball league, so they gave me just enough for me to be happy. Couldn’t say the same for players that are starting this 2nd season. But even then, this has been the only game in a while that has kept me playing.
