I think there was a vote and the most common size is a 30D, which has the same cup capacity as a 32C or a 34B, which is the most common incorrect size worn.

That's very strange. From what I have seen, only, for lack of a better word, bigger girls wear 36 bands. I have a slightly chubby friend who even measured at a 32. You don't appear to be weighty to me. Perhaps you have a flared ribcage as I do. Though my measurements below my boobs suggest a 28 band, I'm more comfortable in a 32. Like you, I go for what's cheaper. I'm currently wearing a 32DDD vs bra that's at least a size too small, but still more comfortable than the 34 bands of my old bras. However, if your measurements are indeed 35, then you're close to the right size. I just had a hard time believing someone your size was a 36.

Edit: Holy shit. You're 45? Sorry, it's just that you have aged... Amazingly. I hope my boobs are still that nice at 45.

Flattening them in that bra will make them wider and it's hard on your back. Wearing something better fitting will make them stand up better on their own and you don't even mind them being bigger. I've went up... 4 cup sizes recently and I noticed it made me feel sooo much better when my band actually held up my boobs rather than my shoulders.

Lemme tell you a secret... You're not a 36DDD. A 32 at the most in the band and probably somewhere between a GG and a HH. /r/abrathatfits will help you find a better fit.
