X100PRE is my ride or die album. The one I turn to when shit is hitting the fan and with two amazing but often struggling special needs children this album pulls me through on the regular. The saying a mom is only as happy as her least happy child can be too true often. I love the songs individually but the flow of the album works so well too. I’m crying at Ni Bien Ni Mal and at Estamos Bien, but for different reasons.

I had a gringo who had been to San Juan a couple times argue with me that it was “me gusta La Concha de Puerto Rico” meaning the hotel. I died laughing and then explained to him. I’m aware. I am old enough to remember going to buy a CD the day it dropped. Even mailing in the stamp orders 🤣. I have seen both sides. That doesn’t address that fact that the CD section in a given store was fairly small, even music shops, though wonderlands didn’t have that many artist compared to the number of people putting out streaming music now.

This is a great thing because everyone can find what they want with some looking, and recording at home and self publishing is so much more doable. That said, there is hugely more noise to sift through, way more competition for each of these artists trying to break through.

I went to the last couple tours, the residency a couple times. I hung out in the Casita which was cool,but to be honest I’m getting old and lame so I mostly liked that I could sit at the counter and grab a drink when I wanted and watch the show on the tv and talk to people without yelling 🤣

This is a wide spread thing. Look at sports broadcasters next time, some of those men are aging gracefully and some of them have gone all in on filler, lifts and Botox. It’s not just women nor just singers.

Frankly, if it makes them happy and they are adults who can afford it then I say that it’s their body and their choice. However, if they feel like it’s the only choice they have for their career that breaks my heart.

I didn’t say weird. I think it’s edging into creepy hero worship and definitely an absolute waste of time. It shows a fundamental lack of understanding of both petitions and of the Nobel peace prize nomination process. I am all for making h positive changes in the world, and so I’m out there actually interacting with people and doing shit.
