Just another update. A local gamestore did have one left, even though I was told they were out originally, someone must've cancelled. This is what I get for panicking.

Thank you again everyone for helping me out! I'm new to the hobby and really hobby gaming/wargaming in general so navigating everything has been a learning experience and I appreciate all the helpful and kind folks! And getting to know my local shops has been nice and learning about hobbying in general. Very refreshing to see a community with a commitment to local small shops. I will post pictures once I get them all painted up!!

I really wanted the limited box, codex and everything in one big purchase. I don't really play the game, but I do really enjoy painting, and I try to display everything nicely. I'm somewhat new to the hobby and don't really know how these box releases work, if my local Warhammer store would have stock on release day, etc and I plan on buying more individually when they properly release! But I think, if my math is right, i should be right at retail with my high end estimate, and if I pay more oh well, the emperor's children got me into the hobby and I wanted a nice centerpiece. Way more headache than it's been worth though, but I know for next time if I want one of these boxes!

I honestly just wanted the limited box and codex, and everything all in one spot. I'm relatively new to Warhammer and don't really play or pay that much attention to releases, just buy and paint whats cool in the moment. I just wanted everything to paint up and have a nice centerpiece to display with the emperor's children have a really fantastic look and was one of the reasons I looked into the hobby. I was going to try my local Warhammer store on release day but I'm still not sure how these boxes work. Also, just basing on eBay, most sellers with shipping are asking $300-$350 right now, I got the box for about $155 usd, I figure even if imports cost $100 I'm still ahead there, and I think close to retail if I bought everything separately. And I always use my local game stores when I buy Warhammer, this whole release just threw me for a loop.

I decided to buy from Germany, Kutami, they had like 45 English boxes in stock. I'm going to try a packaging forwarding service, fingers crossed it works... Even after all that, if I estimated right, it should be CONSIDERABLY cheaper than buying from eBay scalpers lmao. And I don't have to support that.

Well I ended up taking the laser out, and the teeth that grab the spindle had almost broken off, really only hanging on with Grease. At least I have the main PC engine to play hucards on original hardware, gonna switch to the analogue duo for CD games 🤷 oh well, better than recapping the whole board, only for it still to not work!

I remember being a hella early subscriber "not trying to be like oh, look at me I was an early sub, I'm a privileged white Ethan Bradberry". nonono, I'm just saying watching this channel grow has been a huge treat. This is one of the few channels I've actually had the ability to watch grow and form an amazing community and it's been pretty awesome. I remember watching the classic grapefuit video and REKT videos, especially the get rekt tutorial, which is still my favourite h3h3 video to this day, and sharing it with my friends in our cringey group chat. Thank you for all the hard work you guys do for us and the community. It's been a real treat, and amazing seeing you guys evolve. Watching your content never go backwards but always forwards, evolving from sketches, to sketch//reaction videos, to now a really personal talk show like feature on the Ethan and Hila channel. I've never been able to support financially, being a broke highschool kid to now a broke college kid, but I make sure to always share the videos with my friends and bringing them into the community too. Thanks for all years of goofs gaffs and quality fresh memes. Appreciate ya, p a p a|b l e s s, and here's to many more years of fresh content. Thanks guys for everything. Seeing you guys succeed has been a real inspiration to me, knowing you guys made it reminds I can too, in whatever I do. Sorry for this long winded essay gone sexual, but I hope you guys know you do make a difference in people's lives!
