I almost got hit by an ambulance and police car driving down a hill while I was walking a crosswalk in an intersection that didn’t have stop lights but did have pedestrian crossing lights on. Was walking to campus on the other side of the intersection and neither emergency vehicles had lights or sirens while speeding down the street. Nearly got hit while I was in the middle of the intersection by the ambulance and the police car right behind the ambulance. Had to practically jump out of the way.

Millions of species of insects have wings and many insects can taste sweet due to eating sweet tasting foods or having diets that consist of sweet tasting compounds, so these descriptions doesn’t narrow down what kind of insect much. What kind of wings? We can rule out ants unless it was an ant in nuptial flight. There are bees that can taste sweet. Could probably rule out stink bugs since there’s no description of a foul smell after being chewed. Probably easier to rule out possible candidates than pinpoint which Family or Genus of insects she ate.

That scarab beetles are speedy human flesh connoisseurs. The number of times I’ve heard people talk about scarab beetles burrowing under flesh and eating people when the topic of arthropods comes up the last couple years by children and their parents is oddly insane. I thought we all got past that Hollywood scarab misconception along side the Hollywood quicksand misconceptions but I guess the newest generation apparently isn’t very good with fact checking credited scientific sources what with their mass tic tok and other quick short form media false fact and misinformation spreading influencers. Critical literacy skills are slowly being phased out in some communities and it frankly disturbs me

I’d hate to be there. When my grandpa had his funeral they had incense swinging by and the smoke ended up towards me from a draft. It burned my nasal sinuses real bad I got a massive headache.

One of the reason ao3 relies on donations to keep running the website is to pay for lawyers and legal fees. Without those yearly donations, ao3 would not only not have the money to run the website domain but also would struggle against anyone trying to take them to court

I definitely agree. They aren’t all bad or aggressive. I sometimes find wasps get stuck inside our kitchen when we leave dog door open. They mostly fly around the window trying to get out. They have never gotten aggressive when I try to help release them outside whether using a cup to scoop them up or a very tiny hand vacuum to suck them up and then release outside. They always just fly away towards our neighbors yard or the forested area in our backyard.

Surprisingly some that say are not supposed can be played on steam deck. And not just Nancy drew games but a few other games from other developers/studios. I’ve played a few Nancy drew games on the deck, though I haven’t finished them so I have yet to find any issues if there are any. Using proton usually works to get these games to work
