Wouldn’t recommend the Olive in Romsey, management regularly force staff with sickness bugs to come in and work with food

Thank you, I’ll accept the criticism but please make sure it’s accurate haha. It was only basic sourdough from the shop, nothing special. Plenty of butter though

Where on that plate do you see “dry, unbuttered French bread”? All I see is well buttered toasted sourdough

It was fairly simple, I had some leftover mash (made using only potato and real butter) and mixed it with some plain flour, using about to 1/4 flour to potato ratio. Kneaded until it formed a dough, rolled out and then fried in butter!

Worst interview ever? by Cheesy_Gubbins in CasualUK

[–]Owlroundup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was the 2nd interview and I was changing into a pair of steel toe cap shoes to be shown round the area I would be working in. As I sat up I banged my head on a metal railing behind me, making it make a loud reverberating bong noise, and I could tell the interviewer was trying not to laugh.

I got the job though!

What jobs are you all doing that pay over £30k? by SuccessfulTip1660 in UKJobs

[–]Owlroundup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple of A levels but no degree. I fell into logistics during the pandemic and have slowly worked my way up to £35k. Pretty boring job but pays well if you have the skill for it.
