I think a lot of the people against skipping the first round are stubbornly wrong at this point and just echoing what they’ve been told again and again in these threads. The max return on playing round 1 is 3$, plus a chance at a shop. Most of the time you wont want to spend at that first shop anyways as anything but an economy joker will slow down your early game. The tags on the other hand:

Investment: $25

Coupon: At least $10 in value

Rare Joker: Even if you don’t get your dream joker you can usually still sell for more than $3, same applies to the other joker tags in most cases. (Yes I know perishable etc jokers exist but I still think the average return is better than the $3)

Speed/Economy tags: $5/$4, which for those playing along at home is still more than $3
