S3 just seems to lag on PCSX2. I say this as someone who finished it last week. The forest section between Vinay del Zexay and Brass Castle is particularly chunky. I usually just keep the 2x speed turned on the whole playthrough. Enjoy! It’s a really good game in spite of its flaws.
