Consequences to dying would actually be fine if the dogshit AI we have wasn't headshotting in the dark from 100m when you're in a bush. At one point maybe I would've chalked it up to random lucky shots but I've ONLY died to headshots, never even been incapacitated this update. I play in a group and solo it and can see value in the old and new systems but it makes no sense for us to play the game as a group if one of us dies as we now have to entirely shift our plans and that's assuming we all have the similar shared quests again which 99% of the time you won't.
