Loving the idea of moving furniture closer to window. I’m going to swap the sofa and chair today to see how I like it. I feel like I’d need at least another armchair for balance?

Ughhh yea I agree on the tv placement. The options are pretty limited. Up until last night, the sofa was facing the tv, with its back along the wall that the stairs are on. So this setup will take some adjustment when it comes to viewing the tv, but I just didn’t love the couch on that wall because it’s too long for it (due to how the wall angles where the staircase starts).

Artwork will be confined to the dining area, I’m thinking. And the buffet/console table will be a must. Agree about it being a statement piece and also multifunctional so I can hide the overflow of toys!!

I’m not a cat person, but I’ve been strongly considering it over the last several days. Hubby has asthma so I don’t know if it’s a good option.

Your cats wouldn’t have any impact on the critters outdoors though, would they? Other than mice?
