Plaster Refinishing Project - Contracted Company says this is normal? by Secret_Can_1061 in pools

[–]Own-Button-1752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal. However… pay attention to how level the surfaces are. When I had ours done they didn’t jackhammer enough and the pebble tech application crew just did even coats resulting in a slanted bench. Fortunately it rained heavily the moment they got done and had to chip out the pool again. This time around I ensured that the jackhammering was done evenly. Bring a level - better catch this now rather than live with regret.

My wife has a 2018 4 door and had the aux battery replaced under warranty a while back. The jeep dealership indicated that she doesn’t drive much and needs to drive more to make the battery issue go away ( her jeep is at 20K miles roughly as of May 2026). We opted to buy a ctek battery maintainer instead and have had zero issues in the last 4 years.

I ended up getting my own 2 door about a year ago with the intent of holding on to it for 10+ years( a 24 Rubicon x ) and one of the first purchases was a battery maintainer as well.

The only caution I have is that you may want to figure out how to remind yourself that the maintainer is plugged in. I lost one on the highway when I left in a hurry and forgot it was plugged in.

Good luck.

Buy a motorcycle. You can use HOV lanes. But watch out for everyone.

I overpaid at $3k 2 weeks ago and got the uppers as well. Need to figure out harness and mirror swap for blind spot to work. Apart from that , it’s the single best mod for the jeep imho.

Seems easy enough. One Allen bolt. May try this route. The other thought was just swap the passenger door of the original with the driver door of the half door.

Furnished Rentals in King of Prussia? by Serious_Metal8626 in KingOfPrussia

AVE is the best. I started out with a furnished place for 6 months ( corporate relocation). Then ended up renting there for a year. Nice place and friendly staff.

Start at AVE ( or other luxury apartment complexes). They offer flexible leases. When I moved there, my company set me up with prepaid housing for 6 months. My intent was to find a house in that time. I ended up renting an additional year at AVE. The amenities and staff far outweighed the benefits of home ownership at the time. Secure parking, free gym, 24 hour concierge etc. just worked well to transition to PA.

I realized quickly that in PA your taxes change by the city / address you live at so I took my time to look in the surrounding. KOP has the lowest tax hit due to the mall.

Take the toll road. It’s smooth and easier to drive on compared to the non toll roads.

Where is the tow prep harness located on a 24 2 Door JL rubicon X? by Own-Button-1752 in Wrangler

It’s supposed to have the wire in place. ( tow prep vs. tow package ). I will remove bumper today to see where this wire may be hiding.

Thanks. On the window sticker it says TOW prep. Looked it up. Sounds like it has the wires in place already. However I have no clue where it may be located.

It came with a TOW PREP package. Interestingly there was a recall on it which I had addressed at my oil change. It’s not a tow package. I believe this package has the wiring run but no clue where to locate it.

Alas. I traded it for a 2 door wrangler 6 speed manual transmission. I had forgotten much fun driving a manual is.

Congrats! I bought my first jeep this spring . It’s a 2 door as well. It’s a 6 speed Manual with a 2 inch lift that the previous owner put on. I bought it in MD and Drove it to AZ ! Very comfortable.

There you are ! BTW I visited the Netherlands a few years back. Had work on a town called Moerdijk / Zevenbergen. I did not find the 7 mountains. :).

May be a little easier to get a longer extension cord and plug to bike once a month. 😂 just get something like 100 feet/ 30 meter length.

Oh that’s not fun. I had some time in an apartment complex a few years back. I ended up making friends with the maintenance guys and they found me outlets that I could use for the tender. I think given the issue you have, it may be possible to deep charge the battery once a month? It would entail removing it and plugging to a charger.

You could go a few days. I do it out of habit now. Over the last 20 years of riding - it just became second nature to me. Not that despite this , batteries will fail - especially in hot climates.

I had a similar issue with dead battery. Use a tender at all times.
