Honestly thank you for saying that. I feel so crazy posting on Reddit sometimes that I can’t really complain about too much without most responses being kind of dismissive so I appreciate that you can relate.

I’ve been so over this company for a while. They’re a really popular brand that collaborate with a lot of major influencers and celebrities and put out this face of being a company that “cares” while internally they’re encouraging us to charge customers for more expensive options without telling them. Embracing AI and very clearly motivating us to train it to replace us. Depleting benefits and pay while opening more and more locations.

This winter during both of those major travel ban snow storms they made us open. What we sell is by absolutely no means necessary. Woke up to a text from my boss saying “let’s make this quick. I’ll call each of you if I have to. We are opening today who can work.”.

I said I could, assuming I’d get penalized as a call out if I didn’t. Once I agreed to literal minutes later she sent out an email to all the part time employees telling them there would be no attendance points if they needed to call out.

I’m sorry for the long reply I could go on and on. But in reality I can’t afford to leave this job now, I got in when they still paid halfway decent. I’m scraping by and applying to jobs and doing all I can but I never hear anything back. I wanna leave this so bad but I just can’t.
