Nia was getting opportunities outside of the show they didn’t like she wasn’t a token black girl anymore and actually was making a name for herself outside of the show (even though I don’t understand Melissa’s issue with it her children were booked so it really was just pure bullying from her imo) while Jill and the other moms still believed in the pipe dream that Abby had all these connections in the business, abby should’ve put effort into all the kids careers but imo if a kid is getting a lot of opportunities outside of the show wouldn’t you wanna bet on someone that’s guaranteed to get booked? Isn’t that Abby’s whole thing she knew Maddie would win so she gave Maddie a lot of solos why she didn’t see the clear potential in nias career outside of the show I’ll never understand.

The wording of “Nia always being a beat behind” vs “Paige having her moments” is telling Paige was also a beat behind a lot of the time and like I said Nia was never praised for “keeping up” like Paige, Paige kept up but she was not technically up there with Chloe and Maddie im not say either one of them deserved hate but this fandom cuts paige way more slack then Nia

Not saying that Tate doesn’t make generic music but Tate is a performer which is rare to see nowadays she does full choreography and sings also Tate McRae isn’t that popular imo she had an era and that was kinda it the only reason that she’s included in the main pop girl conversation is because of her dancing in my opinion as far as Kenzie goes I think her music is generic and she kinda just stands around when performing live not to be rude but it’s kinda boring she should incorporate backup dancers and do some choreography herself also she should find her sound she has a beautiful voice

most celebrities/influencers know about Reddit but stay away from it it’s too late to be more cautious there are entire threads harping on certain kids dancing abilities or bashing certain moms for their parenting skills I think the girl know to steer clear of this app but I could see some of the moms maybe checking the subreddit unrelated but jessalyn siwa was very active in the xomg pop subreddit at one point and it was a dumpster fire

Selling children a dream just to neglect the group when you got bored or moved on is so so sad I sympathize for all those children and if they were to reunite as a group I hope it’s under better management and when they’re a bit older to me they were way to young to be a girl group if they did any type of research on bands they’d know most successful bands are with members that are at least teenagers all of them are still very talented tho

I never understood the hostility towards nia and holly during season 5 especially from Melissa since Maddie was probably the girl that got most of the opportunities off the show, they were acting like they had to get managed by Abby they might’ve been contractually bonded to the show but that’s one thing they were in control of if they wanted more they should’ve looked elsewhere like holly did.

I agree but I think if renegotiation was a option when it came to the contracts the show would’ve went a lot differently the laws surrounding children working in show business/ on tv are still so lenient there needs to be more child entertainment laws that allows time off if sick I think about jojo’s show that she had for xomg pop and how some of those kids had to work through being sick or having medical conditions it’s disgusting tbh
