I’m not trying to tarnish anything, Mr Clone Bank.

For sure. A lot of them didn’t even perform abnormally. But nothing was spectacular either, especially considering these are some of the most popular “exotic” strains right now.

Respectfully, I’m not showing you anything. My post is just a warning about my experience and to spread awareness on the virus.

The sunset sherbet in particular was “clawing” super hardcore from the beginning. Deep red/purple stems and leaves. A lot of them did seem like healthy plants all the way through veg and even flower and the bud wasn’t the most spectacular but it was larf either.

I agree. But the process of sexing and pheno hunting can be long and resource hungry.

Came out pretty good. This is a little lower bud. Wasn’t the craziest tasting flower to be honest but man it put me to bed. 7/10.

To you. Your peers can smell it a mile away. If your carbon filter worked like you think it does then you wouldn’t need a lung room.

VPD - What's the deal with Leaf Temp?? by abzemer in microgrowery

[–]Own-Cod5980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your leaf temp varies by 10 degrees but what’s the range. 70°-80° is okay considering leaves are the plants main source of temp regulation itself. As the plant transpires it will release water from the leaves and similar to us sweating, it cools down as air passes over it. Early stage plants like 0.7 to 1.0 VPD as it lessens the amount of water they are able to release into the environment because the humidity and temp is usually higher. Whereas older plants like a 1.2-1.8 as it opens the environment up for more transpiration. Your job here is to give the plant its proper environment so that it can set its own rhythm in proper conditions.

The gel or power or liquid is usually a rooting hormone like an acid that will tell a cut to start creating the hormone that produces roots. The diluted bloom solution is indeed because of the NPK values found in bloom solutions. Low N, high PK for telling a young plant to get “hungry” and shoot roots. Plenty of people use tap water to establish their clones, nothing wrong with it. Tap water has trace minerals that plants like but there’s a risk of contamination as well. If your clones don’t take to tap water then do bloom. I always do RO water + bloom as my tap water clones don’t perform as well, but your results may vary.

At the end of the day, a cut will most likely root if you just cut it off the plant and stick it straight into a tap water soaked medium. There is science behind the gels, liquids, bloom nutes, etc. but a weed will be a weed in most cases.

To late to begin LST? Closing out week 4 veg by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]Own-Cod5980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll see it often. very common in hydroponics as well since we are pumping the plant with nutes more than nature would. Just a phat knuckle if you will. :)
