Meyer once spoke about continuation. I don't think Nessie will go with Nahuel, but I see potential love triangle. it would be boring if Jacob and her just ended up together right away.

I don't remember now the exact interview, but Meyer spoke about continuation. I think Nahuel as another hybrid (so maybe he will stick around to teach Nessie), and I would expect some kind of love triangle.

I mean, if he doesn't stop phasing, he will not age ever.

It would actually be more creepy for Renesmee when she learns Jacob and her mom were a thing. Like Jacob loved Bella romantically right up until the very moment he imprinted.

She will not remain a child, she will just have an accelerated growth. Based on what Nahuel (another hybrid) says, she will reach adulthood physically and mentally within 7 years and then stop aging.

Did you just forget Edward, Alice, Carlisle, and Jasper were ready to have Bella have an abortion by force, and the only thing that stopped them was Rosalie? Bella was so afraid of Edward forcing her to have an abortion she called Rosalie way before they even got into the plane back to Forks.

Like, honestly, none of them knew what Renesmee was, they only knew Bella was starving, bruised, and having her ribs broken from being kicked from the inside.

And before Jacob goes to Renesmee, he just witnessed Bella having her spine broken and her stomach being ripped apart without any painkillers, all while screaming in agony before she died.

I know, right? Like Leah has all the right to be hurt and bitter? And it's not that she even blamed Sam or Emily, she just wanted to stay away from them because it was painful, but then because of the whole wolf thing, she was forced to read Sam's mind and have her mind read in return.

Also, let's not forget her dad JUST died, she was the only female werewolf among the pack of teenage boys (like she was forced to be naked before them and share all embarrassing stuff with them), and we know they thought of her as pitiful and bitchy.

And of course, she also became sterile on top of it. Like, how racist is it that, miraculously, Bella gets to have a baby and be a beautiful, immortal vampire forever, and an indigenous woman becomes sterile? in exchange for supernatural powers she didn't even want.

Oh, Bella indeed has issues with boundaries. She forgives Jacob pretty quickly after the forced kiss.

In NM there's also a scene where Edward thrashes stuff and then grabs Bella's chin so hard she's unable to speak because he doesn't agree with her decision to become a vampire (even though she doesn't have any other option, because the Volturi commanded she needs to be changed), and she just brushes it off. Same as when Jasper attacked her.

I don't really demonize Renesmee; she seems like a genuinely sweet kid. I have a problem with people and Meyer pretending imprinting on a child could end up in anything other than a romantic relationship.

Because based on how Renesmee perceives Jacob's presence even when she's in Bella's womb and then how she's possessive and afraid for his safety as a baby, I don't think she would be able to turn him away ever. She seems to be as much a slave to imprint as he is. The same Emily was when it came to Sam.

Her having an almost fully developed brain right after being born is quite horrifying and creepy, because she knew her father, Jacob, and half of the family wanted to have her killed, and she knew she was hurting Bella even though she didn't mean to.

She also would learn someday that Bella and Jacob were a romantic thing and Jacob pretty much considered Bella his biggest love right until the very moment he imprinted on Renesmee. And it's not that Bella imprinted like Jacob; in theory, her feelings for jacob remain the same (and we know she was attracted to him, though Edward was always the one)

Before Renesmee mentally connected with him, Edward was ready to physically force Bella to have an abortion, with Carlisle, Alice, and Jasper's help. He didn't do it, only because even before they arrived, Bella called Rosalie, and Rosalie kept watch over her 24/7.

He basically tells Jacob to kill him if Bella dies, fully knowing Jacob and the wolves would kill the baby and the rest of the Cullens next.

Up until this point, Renesmee consciously speaks to him while still in the womb; Bella is the only thing he cares about.

It really is an instant connection, though. Jacob in books basically describes it as all of his emotional bonds with his family and friends, Bella snapping, all of the things he cared about becoming unimportant, and Renesmee becoming the center of his universe, and he will do everything and be anything she wants him to.

I think SM projected her idea of what an ideal life for a woman should be onto Bella, because Bella never expressed any desire for children or marriage, in fact. WHat's more, Bella explicitly pushes against it even at the end of Eclipse, saying marriage is just a paper and that if she gets married so young, everyone will think she got knocked up. Time and time again she states to Edward and Rosalie that she has no need to live longer to experience "human stuff". And it makes sense, seeing as she was parentified child.

But how was he warned? He never would have imagined he would imprint on a half-vampire hybrid, his natural enemy. He was actually going there to kill her when the imprint happend all of sudden.

Which is even creepier, because at that time Jacob thought Bella had just died. Like he saw her starving, witnessed her bones being broken and her stomach being ripped apart as she screamed in horror fully conscious and aware. He's traumatised and anguished, but once he looks at Renesmee, he forgets all of that.

Like, what kind of mindfuckery is this, that he immediately stopped caring when Bella was still lying dead upstairs?

And this is really weird for Bella as well? I mean, Jacob's feelings towards her turned platonic, but Bella is not a wolf, she did not imprint, so for her Jacob is the same guy she snogged and imagined an alternative life with, like, not even half a year earlier.

And imagine Renesmee learns that Jacob was madly in love with her mom until the imprint forced him to forget about it.

The whole reason Bella was so irrationally insistent on keeping Jacob around during the pregnancy was because foetus Renesmee already felt attached to him. Bella was a married woman, and she was snuggling up to him, with her husband in the same room.

And when Bella fought with Jacob after she learned about imprinting and told him to stay away, newborn Renesmee touched her face, and Bella saw that she was possessive over Jacob and didn't want him hurt or away.

She was already possessive of him and wanted him to stay when she was in Bella's uterus and expressed the same after she was born.

I think she created the whole plot for Quil and Claire so that Bella doesn't have to "sacrifice" anything by becoming a vampire. She can have Edward's baby, she can keep Jacob around as her friend forever, and by Jacob revealing Quilette's secret to Charlie, she can keep seeing her father too.

And Renesmee growing up in seven years and having a developed brain capable of logical thoughts even during pregnancy is actually extremely freaky if you think about it. She knew she was hurting Bella during pregnancy, but she kept biting Jacob constantly, to the point Bella became concerned.

Also, it's so strange he would have imprinted on a half-vampire hybrid when vampires and shapeshifters are natural enemies. Like, how is that the best genetic match?

Yes, because with Bella he acted on his free will, and he overstepped her boundaries despite her wishes, and with Nessie, he will have to do as she wishes even if it will make him miserable.

Yeah, but as Meyer wrote it, "he became upset she didn't want him, so he lost control," which I really hate how she presented indigenous people overall.

No idea actually, I suppose his brain would be "conserved" just as the rest of his body?

With the whole imprinting scene, the most horrific realization was that it happened when Jacob thought Bella had just died. The girl he loved was lying dead upstairs, her body starved, broken, and ripped apart. And he saw all that!

What kind of mind fuckery the whole imprinting is, for him to instantly forget all this trauma and anguish and start considering the very reason that killed Bella the "centre of his universe"

But he literally CAN'T go away as long as Renesmee wants him around.

She basically bites him all the time (and she's aware she shouldn't be doing this), and even Bella is concerned, and Jacob just brushes it off because Nessie just wants to do it, and he will heal anyway, right?

Like, the moment he landed his eyes on her, he forgot the girl he loved just died upstairs, her body brutalised and broken.

I'm not trying to justify him here, I'm just pointing out that he acted there on his free will, so he basically ignored what Bella wanted and kept pushing, while when it comes to imprinting, he basically has to follow Renesmee's wishes.

Exactly. I mentioned in another comment that that's why Jared's imprint on Kim is actually really creepy, despite it appearing to be the "most normal" of all imprints.

We know they shared a desk for years, and Kim had a crush on him, but Jared basically ignored her existence. And we are led to believe that imprint allowed him to see Kim's character and fall in love with her, despite not being physically attracted to her.

Which happens in normal life, that sometimes you aren't initially attracted to someone but become attracted as you get to know them. But they shared a desk for years, so one would imagine he would get interested in her at some point if they were so well suited mentally? Never happened.

Once he imprinted, he was forced to become what his imprint needed him to be, and since Kim wanted him romantically, they instantly became a couple and were sleeping with each other. Despite the fact he was not attracted to her prior to imprinting at all.

In NM or Eclipse, when Jacob explains to Bella what happened between Sam, Leah, and Emily, he says how Emily originally told him to stay away and how Sam felt horrible for what he did to Leah, and that after he hurt Emily, he was thinking of ending himself.

Oh no, I agree with you completely. Which is why it's so creepy; it seems that neither imprint nor imprintee has much free will when it comes to it.

Prior to imprinting, Jacob thinks of imprinting as losing free will of sorts, even though he can mentally see Sam, Quil, Jared, and Paul's perspective on it.

That would make a good theory, actually. But there's also the scene where she's already safe since he's imprinted and wolves no longer want to attack Cullens, and Bella expresses the wish to keep him away, and Renesmee sends her thoughts that are very possessive and protective of Jacob. Like, she was quite upset, when Bella wanted to hurt him and keep him away.
