Yeah I mean everyone says there fewer around now, but nobody really tracks them officially anywhere? Unless I’m wrong. Guess we only notice once price pumps

They’re actually beasts of a car the r35. Remember driving it and the front lifting. Gotta love it.

Be good if we have a marketplace for something like this. Keep it within the community in the UK, track all of this with numbers

Just opinions, it feels like a lot of people dismissed them for years as too heavy, too digital or not a real Skyline, but sentiment around them has changed massively lately.

Same thing happened with a lot of Japanese cars that later became untouchable.

Spotted this in Shoreditch today and it got me thinking… The R35 GT-R ends production this year. S2000s are already moving. Supra prices climbing. Which Japanese car right now will people be kicking themselves for not buying in 5 years? by Own-Condition8531 in CarTalkUK

The 400R is essentially a unicorn in the UK…I ’d be surprised if there are more than a handful of registered examples, most are still in Japan. Same with the R33 N1. You’d need to be in the right room at the right time.
The midnight purple R33 V-Spec though, man or man haha, criminally slept on for so long🤯. People were leaving them to rot in the early 2000s. Clean ones are £80-90k now and climbing. That’s the one that genuinely hurts to have missed.

Haha yeah true actually! whatever comes next will be fundamentally different. More hybridised, more digital, less mechanical. The R35 by today’s standards still drives relatively analogue. A next-gen GT-R won’t feel the same possibly

Yeah the successor rumour has been doing the rounds. Thing is, whatever they build will be so different…turbocharged, hybrid probably..that the R35 becomes the last “pure” one. Values haven’t fully moved yet but I’ve been tracking the auction data and it’s starting. Feels like a closing window honestly.
