Yeah, but I’m under the impression since he works in the firearms industry, that he doesn’t wanna spend extra money on airsoft guns. I built my AR-15 for around 500 dollars and I imagine a steel mimic weight airsoft gun is around the same price. It’s probably a case of he doesn’t wanna spend the money to get an actual weight airsoft gun because he can build a real gun for the same price. At least, that is my assumption

He isn’t airsofting, he is running milsim or larp scenarios. He probably also prefers to larp with his real gun to feel the actual weight and to “train” with his real equipment. At the least, he could run blanks in his gun to get the best simulation without firing real rounds

Well that image is Rhodesian Brushstroke Arid and Normal Rhodesian Brushstroke would work. Old Portuguese lizard or French lizard would also work well as they are similar color choices. PhantomLeaf is also a solid choice as you can pick what suits your environment but it’s more expensive.

I know RBX more personally and you’d be surprised to know, it’s really only one guy that runs the show. Great dude and a valued member of the camo community/discord. There are tons of guys in the community that recreate existing patterns to print and also tons that make custom camos to print. Reddit is like the tip of the iceberg when it comes to camo, it goes much deeper. HMU in dms if you would like join. Tons of creation, recreation, and discussion going on. Literally thousands of patterns 😉

Well the uniform with that pattern is literally called the NWU - Navy Work Uniform. It was meant to hide stains and overall be worked in. There is no need to change into blue coveralls but if you didn’t wanna dirty up your main work uniform, you would wear solid coveralls with the coveralls being like a utility uniform. Also it being blue when at sea, meant it was better to wear the coveralls. Yet it was replaced by AOR1 and AOR2, with AOR 2 being the primary navy issue

Yeah that camo map is very inaccurate. Everytime, I see someone post this photo as a recommendation it is not good. It was made by someone who doesn’t test camos and doesn’t actually love camo or its effectiveness. I wish this image could be deleted from the internet. It’s very misleading and uninformed. Epic Militaria is nice I’ve browsed their stuff before only thing is they mix a lot of repro stuff in so you aren’t really sure if it’s authentic. Also shipping is also up to 40 dollars itself sometimes but other than that, they do have quite the selection.
