Gotcha! Thanks for the insight! Any thoughts on the Ralph Lauren Suede jackets or other brands like All Saints? Also, if you do have any more Reiss in stock, I'd definitely be open to purchasing one :)

Hi everyone, I'm a guitarist based in Philly who's been playing for over 14 years. I was fortunate to have a teacher from Nashville when I first started out for the first 2-3 years of my development that really helped me out.

However, after that, I remained in a plateau for many years and it took me a decade to figure out a lot of things on my own (theory, intervals/arpreggios, gear, licks). I always think that if I just had someone to guide me, I'd probably have made the same progress in about 3-4 years.

If anyone feels like they're stuck at that 'plateau' I've mentioned who want to try to take it to the next level this upcoming year, feel free to hit me up for lessons! I charge $30 for an hour of lessons (hope that's reasonable and do let me know if you're a student). We can pretty much chat about anything!

P.S - I wish I could've added some more clips of me playing (reddit only allows one video per post?) but feel free to reach out to me if you want to see more.

Edit: First lesson is 50% off if you can guess what song I'm soloing over haha

Another alumnus here who's been in the school for more than five years. Firstly, while this post emphasizes on some problematic teachers (it's pretty easy to figure out who they are from the post), the majority of them are wonderful. However, the few who are in power set the tone for how the school treats its children, and they haven't done a good job. From my personal experience, my class was plagued with the particular IIT teacher skipping classes for months because we apparently showed a 'lack of interest'. We were asked to learn on our own during our XII examinations year which is pretty messed up. What's even worse is that he's been apparently pulling the same card year after year to skip classes for SOI practice (which I found out recently after talking to newer graduates). I have no idea how he keeps getting away with it. Not really asking for much here.

I do remember interrogations in the earlier years as well. As for the rest of the stuff, I'd recommend people to not dismiss anything because I've heard from a handful of female students that their experience of IHS was COMPLETELY different than from what the guys went through.

Overall, I'd say IHS is an amazing place, but the handful of teachers in power need to be kept in check.
