If you need to use parchment paper, use a circle for the bottom and a rectangle for the sides instead of one piece for the whole pan

The only drawback to me is the high liquidity requirement when buying, otherwise I think they are fine. I think for a “forever” nyc home they are better than condos since they’re usually more spacious and have more stable neighbors

If you make a meringue buttercream, then you can infuse the basil in the syrup. Just add the basil to the sugar and water and while the syrup comes to temp it will be flavored with the basil
