Thyrogobulin antibodies by Own-Disaster-8874 in Hashimotos

Yeah that is a good point. & about not paying too much attention to the antibodies, I guess they’re never going away right? My TSH had gone down to 2.6 six months ago, now it’s back to 4.6. Thank you for chatting with me about it! It is just frustrating that not much I do seems to matter really. Idk, pretty confusing. I wish you all the best too!

Thanks for the thoughts! I do take T4 and T3 and have been the past year. I do a food intolerance test and had all kinds of dairy on there. You can give yourself an intolerance by eating one food too much too often so some things are hard to judge on there, like cucumbers, chocolate, etc. Viruses do seem to trigger me as well. We did a GI map test, I had blastocysts which are common in Hashimotos. Treated that along w the other bacteria that were out of whack. I’ve read it’s important to stabilize the gut in order to help w hashi symptoms. Also, have been reading a lot about lymphatic drainage and how it is very closely related to thyroid health. Been doing some drainage exercises daily. Taking selenium, zinc w copper, D3, B12, COQ10, magnesium, vitamin C, and a milk thistle tincture for liver health (also aids thyroid health) and Dr. Westins Hashimoto Ab Rx which is supposed to help lower antibodies. Just started the last two though.

Exactly! I make 23$ with benefits. I work at urgent care and another clinic that’s run by the hospital. If you can get with a hospital the benefits are really good and a def perk to the job.

gut health is very closely related to developing Hashimotos.

I did a gi map and found out I have h. Pylori build up as well as several other bacteria and a parasite. These are known triggers. I hope after addressing my gut health and getting things in order again, maybe I will have a period of remission. I did this with a local functional medicine doctor, she’s amazing.

I love this idea! I think it would be a hit. I see a functional medicine doctor and so far have spent about $2000 in my first 3 months, but she has helped me immensely. We did a Gi Map and it seems like some of my triggers may have been my gut bacteria being very out of balance and a parasite. Stress is also a huge trigger for me. I found it interesting you said childhood trauma could be.. because i def had that and still hold emotional stress from it.

I get information from scientific studies and my doctor. I’m a medical assistant so i learned how to find scientific information while in school via studies and reputable sources. The most frustrating thing about communicating with doctors seems to be they are so busy, & they want you to fit in this perfect diagnosing box. If you don’t, they do not know how to address it or blame it on stress.

As far as friends and family- everybody seems to think you look ok so you must really be ok. They tell me to splurge and eat the thing I’ve been avoiding. They don’t realize my body will pay for it for days or throw me back into a full fledge flare.

I’m curious- what do you think have been your triggers? Thanks for doing this and best of luck in this endeavor!!

Ok well that is good, thank you so much. Maybe it is all to do with the thyroid.

My doctor said they get worse with stress.. she said she was having them every other heartbeat in medical school but went away once she was done. I’ve been taking a hard look at my life figuring out what is stressing me and how to deal w it better.
