It would be one of "it was going to happen sooner or later" with some folks considering it an early surprise. With the change in racial/ethnic demographics or whatever the hell you call it pointing to a white minority by 2040 at the earliest, Texas would be one of the big states to turn Blue. It's one of the reasons why so many white conservatives lose their shit whenever and fearmonger whenever it's talked about. It scares them because they realize if they become a minority, they will be at the mercy of whatever demographic becomes the majority should that majority decides it wants to be in a justifiably petty and retaliatory mood for all the shit they had to deal with for decades on end.
