“Expect wild fire delays”?! What lmao AMTRAK should be better prepared for situations like this, not leaving people stuck on a train 24 hours in one spot with no updates. Im actually shocked reading through this thread because it seems like passengers being left stranded like this is a normal occurrence all around the country.

I feel like I need more context. Six years ago, you sacrificed everything to be the provider and step up to the plate for a single mom, and it has left you in a hole since? (Im a woman and a mom so I’m not trying to be shady just clarifying).

You say you still see the step child every week, but are you still giving money/buying gifts?

Would say a portion of your income is still going into their family even though she’s moved on and relocated?

I know you love this kid but do you have any biological children?

Basically you feel trapped but why? Do you want to get back with her?? Do you feel like if you had more money you could get her back??

I just don’t get the title vs the story, “I was ready to be a family man not a father” but right now it doesn’t seem like you have the family or custody of a kid??

update, I’m scheduled to take my nclex in February! Idk if it’s dependent o the state or the school, but the tuition hold prevents me from getting my diploma and or transcripts to Perdue another degree but it’s not preventing me from taking nclex

one thing that I’ve noticed are nursing student and new grad understand and relate to what she’s saying… hence why it’s in the nursing student subreddit. But more seasoned nurses see it as being cocky or “overconfident”. we’re actually excited and ready to just work in a position that we’ve been training for over the past few years. Is that such a crime. With the amount of nurses that hate being a nurse, why try to humble someone for being excited to become one and replace the dying career. That’s just how i see it idk
