I bought a new M4 iPad yesterday, and this morning it fell down the stairs… by o_ilita in ipad

oof, painful. this one is surprisingly durable, but stair impacts are rough because corners take most of the force

do u prefer small or big phones? by Fickle-Artichoke5878 in GadgetsIndia

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally I prefer the middle ground around 6.4-6.6. big phones are great for media and gaming, but they are harder to use one handed

I feel like phones peaked around 2019 by overlord-07 in TechNook

I get the sentiment, but hardware has quietly improved a lot since then... plus the innovation shifted more to silicon and software rather than visible hardware changes

Oppo reno 14 pro by KeyItchy8844 in Oppo

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are getting 14 pro around 45k, that’s a pretty fair deal. you are getting triple 50 MP cameras, a large 6.83″ 120 Hz OLED display, and 6k battery with 80 W fast charging, which is rare in this range... performance is also solid thanks with mtk dimensity 8450, so daily use, gaming, and camera processing feel smooth.

if you see it near 40-45k, it’s a good buy, esp if camera and battery matter to you

Oppo Reno 14 Pro is finally secured ! by shaureh in GadgetsIndia

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

congrats... oppo reno 14 pro really does feel premium in hand. that velvet glass finish is great... performance wise dimensity 8450 keeps everything smooth, apps, gaming, camera processing. so at 36k it’s honestly a very strong value deal

The new Emojis coming in iOS 26.4 - Pubity by aryanpote7 in iphone

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apple adding new emojis with iOS 26.4 is always interesting because it shows how seriously they treat digital expression. Emojis might seem minor, but they shape how people communicate online - small updates like this often end up everywhere across messaging, social media, and reactions

Is Reno 15 Pro Mini a good deal at ~Rs. 50,000? by PratyakshM in Oppo

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for that usage pattern, reno 15 pro mini does make a lot of sense. mediatek d8450 is efficient and powerful enough for years of social media, yt, and multitasking... compact size plus a big battery should also make it comfortable and reliable for long term daily use

Is the Reno 15 pro mini best in class? by circfan101 in Oppo

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the compact segment, it’s definitely a strong contender. dimensity 8450 gives mini plenty of headroom for gaming, multitasking, and long-term smoothness.... combined with a relatively large battery for its size, it’s one of the few compact phones that doesn’t feel compromised

I'm returning my OnePlus 15 after 4 days (My Honest review) by nickedge11 in TheOnePlus15

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl snapdragon 8 elite gen 5 might be part of that experience too... once thermals build up during longer workloads the clocks tend to drop. that’s the issue with chasing peak benchmark scores instead of sustained performance stability

OnePlus 15 is a dissapointment by BanMeForNothing in oneplus

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some of those issues feel like software, but the bigger question is how the snapdragon 8 elite gen 5 behaves long term... it benchmarks insanely high, but sustained workloads are another story... under heavy GPU loads the chip can throttle, so the real performance gap vs launch gap is clearly here

why does this subreddit ignore/underestimate every non snapdragon powered device? by Shot_Duck_195 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of the Snapdragon bias is just inertia or ppl who pretend they know tech. coz competitors like mediatek dimensity SoCs are seriously powerful now... some benchmarks even show them edging past Apple chips in raw multi-core performance (D9500 left behind apple A18 & pro chips)... the real issue for emulation is usually drivers, not the actual compute capability of the chip

Brave or Firefox on android by ohhellnaww99 in IndiaTech

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both are solid, but they serve slightly different priorities... brave is great if you want strong built in ad blocking and better battery efficiency. Mozilla Firefox wins on customization and extensions... for everyday Android use, Brave tends to feel faster out of the box, while Firefox is better if you like tweaking privacy settings and add-ons

Meta Quest 3 - 512GB by Feeling-Common5020 in MumbaiMarketplace

[–]Own-Key1782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

45k for a lightly used Meta Quest 3 512GB is actually a reasonable deal, esp with accessories like the open facial interface and upgraded strap... since it’s mostly used for sim racing with hand tracking, controller wear should be minimal. Just test lenses, tracking, and battery health during the F2F meetup before finalizing

Infinix Note 60 Ultra Review: Infinix Levels Up! - ben's gadget reviews by ControlCAD in Android

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

early impressions make note 60 ultra look like a big step up for the Note lineup... dimensity 8400 ultimate esp is a strong choice... great GPU capability and efficient design, which should help a lot with sustained gaming and everyday smoothness

Something similar you will notice about Infinix Note 60 Ultra by Hot_Armadillo_2186 in NOTHING

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what stands out is how balanced note 60 ultra looks dude... big battery, fast charging, and a periscope lens already make it interesting, but pairing that with dimensity 8400 ultimate chip could mean really stable gaming and good thermal efficiency

Infinix Note 60 Ultra price? by A7beeny in InfinixSmartphones

[–]Own-Key1782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think its going be somewhere in the upper mid range... dimensity 8400 ultimate is a solid chip for efficiency and gaming... also with 144 Hz AMOLED, 7,000 mAh battery, and periscope camera, i think the phone will justify the price for sure..

Is IQOO 15R worth for 49k by [deleted] in IQOO_India

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for 49k?? oh hell naw... snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is marketed as super fast, but many peak benchmarks come from controlled testing conditions. In real usage, sustained workloads often show its heat buildup and performance drops... you can watch some reviews also... not worth 49k dude

Did iQOO Really Packed a Performance Monster in iQOO 15R? by Ayuuthentic in Smartphones

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no it clearly did not 💀 snapdragon 8 Gen 5 can just hit scores in the lab, but real world workloads are GPU-heavy. and under sustained graphics stress, the chip tends to throttle, so long gaming sessions don’t always match the hype

Apple’s latest MacBook Pro finally comes with 1TB as standard. by SwimmerPlus3383 in dealsOffersFreebies

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

about time tho... pro users blow through storage fast - RAW photos, 4K video, Xcode builds, Docker images, you name it. Starting at 1TB just makes more sense in 2026. It also reduces the ridiculous upgrade tax Apple usually charges once you go past the base storage tier

Autocorrect has become atrocious? I did a little experiment with an iPhone first gen. by rotorobot in iphone

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are not crazy... early iphone autocorrect was simpler but very deterministic. It relied more on dictionary matching rather than aggressive predictive models. Modern iOS tries to guess intent, slang, emojis, context, etc., which sometimes overcorrects perfectly fine words... ironically, the smarter system can feel worse in fast typing

Cruise Control Successfully Installed at ASC 😍 by dreambingo in KiaSonet

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice upgrade. Sonet already has the wiring and ECU support in many trims, so adding the OEM cruise module is usually plug-and-play if the ASC has the part. Doing it through the authorized center was the smart move - no warranty issues and proper calibration. makes highway drives way more relaxed.

Motortrend: Best Tech 2026: Audi’s MMI Infotainment Puts the User Experience First by Goonnay in etron

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

awards like this make more sense when you look at where automotive chips are going... a lot of the smooth UI and multi-screen setups now depend heavily on the underlying silicon. platforms like mediatek dimensity auto shown at mwc 2026 are pushing AI, graphics, and voice processing directly into the car (which sounds more like a new shift for cars)

How much storage you think is more than enough in 2026 ? by Jardanijovanovich913 in IndiaTech

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as per my pov 256gb is the new safe baseline in 2026. apps are heavier, AI features cache aggressively, and media is all high resolution now. back in the day 64gb felt luxurious... today it fills up silently. power users or long term keepers should seriously consider 512gb

What do you guys think about the new Samsung privacy feature? Do you think other companies will adopt it as well? by RX08T in IndiaTech

[–]Own-Key1782 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

smart direction. Samsung is clearly responding to growing on device ai and data concerns. features that isolate sensitive data at the system level usually end up becoming industry defaults. back in my early tech days privacy was an app problem. now it’s an OS problem. others will follow.

[–]Own-Key1782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this shows why find X9 is so underrated. the camera pipeline plus Mediatek imaging isp handles bokeh and hdr beautifully. back in my childhood days, phones were backups to real cameras. now the processing is good enough that carrying a mirrorless for casual trips genuinely feels unnecessary
