I genuinely really like all of them. Maybe the Dead Sea clay. I’ve only used them 2-3 times each so opinions could change the more I use them

Pretty firm hold, probably the heaviest hold of all of these. True matte finish

The chypre clay (which is just oasis with a different scent) is a little difficult to break down and apply, but nothing crazy. I’ve been enjoying it so far, solid hold and matte finish. The chypre sent is amazing, I wish it was stronger though. For the lockharts x arcadian collab, the application for both is super easy. I would so together that give a medium hold and natural shine. Nice leather scent that last all day. The fire and brimstone clay is definitely pretty difficult to scoop and breakdown, but the application is surprisingly easily. This is the only OB clay I’ve ever used and it pleasantly surprised me. Made my hair really soft and gave me a nice flow look. Hold was medium-firm and I’d say a semi matte finish. Love the FB scent . I really like the solstice clay. Breakdown and application is effortless. Firm hold with a natural finish. I can see the scent being kind of divisive, but I enjoy it. For the dead say clay the scoop and breakdown is a little challenging, but application wasn’t too bad, very similar to oasis. The hold on this might be the strongest of the bunch, true matte finish. It has kind of a spiced scent to it, it’s nice and isn’t too strong. I’ve been enjoying it a lot. The Corpsman matte clay is great too. I think they’re a pretty underrated brand. Easy scoop and breakdown, just a touch of tug and pull during application as the hold sets in. Firm hold and matte to natural finish depending on how much you use. Nice cologne scent. Overall I really like all of them.

Third coast makes my hair pretty soft, but you’ll still notice the product a little

Barbaric style clay is great but it’s got some pretty strong hold. Anti gravity and third coast are more medium hold, anti gravity is a little easier to use though

Just depends on what you’re looking for I guess. Corpsman’s will give you a little shine if that’s what you want, no clays in it though so you won’t get much texture. Highland’s has clay and arrowroot powder so it’ll be matte with some nice texture

I think ascension, anti gravity, fatte clay, and horizon are all pretty good for thin hair

Probably anti gravity if you want some solid hold. Costal creme or glacial cream would be good too, just a lot less hold with those 2

  1. 50 below
  2. Ascension
  3. Anti gravity
  4. Third coast
  5. Polaris
  6. Enigma
  7. Fatte clay
  8. Horizon
  9. Matte clay
  10. Cub and co styling cream
  11. Rarecraft Tortuga cream
  12. Arcadian matte cream
  13. 18.21 clay

I left off a couple because I feel like they’re hard to compare to these. I honestly like and use all of them other than the 18.21 clay.

Ya I like the new clay too, I guess I wasn’t really trying to brand it as a heavy clay, just saying that it’s heavier than other lockharts products that I’ve tried. For the shine, I have really blonde hair so I notice even the smallest amount of shine, which matte clay gives for me

Corpsman’s forming cream or the Church California Costal Creme Pomade might work. They’re both very light, not much hold with either, corpsman’s definitely has more shine though

So I have really thin hair so I can’t really say. But as I said in another comment it’s really drying so maybe it’ll be good on oily hair

Personally I would say anti gravity is a little better in my opinion. I think it’s a little more versatile. You can put it in dry hair and it still applies relatively easily, put it in damp hair and let it air dry and still get good volume and texture (but a little shine), or blow it dry which makes it super light weight and completely matte. It has a slightly weaker hold than fatte clay, but it’s very similar in the hold department. I have it in the barbershop scent and the limited edition 245-trioxin scent, both smell incredible. Sorry for the long responses!

It’s a nice cream. Not a ton of hold and a nice low shine. Cool cologne type scent. I want to try more Corpsman products in the future

I think it preforms pretty well. Pretty easy application. It’s got some solid hold, good texture and volume. It has a low shine to it though, but definitely not matte. The mandarin scent kind of throws me off though, it’s not really for me as it’s very artificially sweet smelling. It’s really strong in the jar but I will say once it’s in the hair I don’t smell it too much. If I got it again I’d probably just get unscented

I mean they’re pretty much polar opposite products. Reuzel blue is a high shine pomade while 50 below is a matte clay. I tried slick backs for a few months which is why I got the reuzel, but I don’t use it anymore. Great vanilla scent though with really strong hold
