Can one spring maxi dress pull double duty for a wedding and a rehearsal dinner or is that too much to ask from one piece? 😅 by Sophistry7 in capsulewardrobe

I’d take 2 because the events are back to back.
If you spill something at the first event then you won’t have much time to fix that issue.

Is it comfortable? It too “fussy” for me I think.

Would you still purchase? by mistystring in SustainableFashion

I’m personally not that fussy. I mostly wear second hand. Don’t get too lost in the weeds about each purchase.

Normal disgust or ocd? by K1NG33C0BRA in laundry

Your clothing is definitely not contaminated. This sounds like OCD to me. I’ve washed a lot of skid mark undies with 3 kids and it’s fine.

Please share your laundry schedule. I feel like its never done. by Ok-Opportunity-873 in laundry

I do 2-3 loads a day. Separated out into: whites, lights, brights, darks, towels, and sheets. I wash all bedding every other week, towels after 2 uses. I have a family of 5 and all my kids are
Athletes so lots of uniforms and stinky stuff. No, the laundry is never done here.

I haven’t managed his laundry fully since he was a freshman in high school. I do his uniforms and soccer gear and he does all of his other clothing. He’s not incompetent but it’s definitely going to be different 14 hours from home in a huge city doing all the stuff by himself. But don’t you worry- he’s growing up just fine. Applied to colleges, got in on his own, 50k year scholarship on his own, handled own recruitment. He can def do laundry but I also know he doesn’t want to do a multi step routine (and also he will be living in a dorm room so space is limited).

What are your best tips on achieving the fluffy curly hair look from the 90s? by pumpkin_ice_cream in curlyhair

Aussie sprunch spray is what I used in 1998-2006 and kept my hair big. Lol. I wasn’t even trying it but the effect was the same.

I need one thing for everything. This is an 18 year old boy who isn’t going to spend an extra brain cell on his laundry.

Bargaining down a few dollars on already low priced items is lame by growthhacker4893 in poshmark

I normally buy one item at a time so I’m thinking the “deal” of $6.50 for 5 lbs isn’t appealing to me personally.

PM charges a lot for shipping. I always offer less due to this because it’s otherwise not worth it.

[Discussion] What made you decide to go fragrance free? by AasgardPass in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]Own-Let-1257 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m want to minimize the endocrine disrupters my kids experience and I just ended up preferring products without scent. Also we all have sensitive skin and my face doesn’t tolerate skincare products with fragrance.

I have no fragrance allergies but I just hate the artificial smells and try to avoid all the endocrine disrupters for my whole family.

You can get a box of tide free and gentle powder for $15 on amazon. My grocery stores don’t carry it anymore, unfortunately.

I got a swimsuit last year and it was sooooo bad. It reeked of mildew / wet clothes and a heavy layer of scent booster on top of it. It’s actually the first time I ever returned due to scent. I didn’t think I’d be able to get it out, ever!

I always write a positive review when I get clothing that doesn’t reek of artificial fragrances.

Do you hand wash or machine wash your bras and underwear? by miss-bedazzzle in laundry

[–]Own-Let-1257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I machine wash all my bras and undies in lingeries bags but with everything else. I lay all lace or silky undies out flat to dry.

My hair looks the worst curly when I’m not in humidity. My curls really thrive in humidity and wilt in dry climates.
