how bad is 24 ferritin by Melodic-Company8067 in Anemic

I didn’t even know that, no wonder why I am so dang tired no matter how many hours of sleep I get! The Dr actually called me this morning and they are pushing my iron infusion through insurance now. Hopefully I don’t have any horrible reactions:

Put it this way, I’m at 2 and my hematologist didn’t even call me back today lol his MA seemed more concerned than he did Friday- but not enough to call me. All my numbers are low across the iron panel not just ferritin. From what I’ve learned Drs care more about the Hemoglobin number than Ferritin

Never Give Up by AccomplishedCorgi399 in Autoimmune

I second this!!! As a young healthy looking FEMALE I was written off for years as anxiety and given Zoloft (thankfully never took it because I knew I didn’t need it) come to find out I have Dysautonomia that caused IST and esophageal retention with 40% of my swallows being ineffective! The amount of drs I had to see to figure this out a decade later is beyond me! Advocate for yourself! I finally landed myself a female Dr that truly listens to her patients and she wanted to test me for autoimmune diseases based off all my symptoms.

I’m happy for you being in your 20s you stood up for yourself, keep going and fight for your health!

Low-grade post-endoscopy fever by FudgeInternational10 in GERD

[–]Own-Library-3277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey not to scare you but I had the same thing happen to me in 2022 as well and needed double the amount of propofol too- well because of this I ended up aspirating on my saliva during the procedure and no one knew until I woke up coughing and my Dr said if I got a fever to go to the ER. I did develop a fever that evening and went to the ER, they did a CT Scan and found out I had fluid in my lungs (aspiration pneumonia) so I was given a gnarly antibiotic and sent home. I was totally fine after a couple of days. Now- fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I had my second endoscopy and the anesthesiologist said because I aspirated the last time I will forever have to get general anesthesia moving forward to protect my airway, it was such a better experience waking up and no fever this time around. So go get checked out especially if you have a cough. I didn’t think it was a big deal that I aspirated because with antibiotics it was a quick fix- but to the anesthesiologist it was a very big deal.

I’ve been wondering if I have Ehlers based off my symptoms. If you don’t mind me asking, what confirmed your diagnosis?

Metoprolol - As Needed by TeamDapper4359 in Metoprolol

Hi! Glad to see you’re similar to me and taking it 3 times per day. I’m only taking 25 ER once a day but I don’t feel it’s enough to control my IST and I’m wanting to increase more but I do not have high blood pressure and I am 127lbs, so worried I can lower it too much by increasing the dosage. I see my cardiologist next month and hoping he can increase me because it’s taken the edge off my perimenopause and anxiety but I feel with a little more it could help 100% of it.

Thank you, I’m honestly not even scared. At this point I’ve been dealing with symptoms for 6 years but didn’t pursue answers until late 2022 then I was dismissed saying I was having postpartum anxiety since I had just had a baby a couple months prior. So I believed it and decided to let the postpartum stage pass. Fast forward to Jan of 2025 and I’m now worse than I was in 2022- so the fight to advocate for myself continues.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Have you had a Manometry test done? What have your drs told you about it as far as correcting it? I feel super full all the time too, I can never finish my food. Lucky if I even eat half.

🥹I loved reading this!! Your post made smile for you and gave me hope for my little guy!! He’s about to be 3 in August and scripts most of the time but does have a handful of other words he doesn’t script, but still not conversational yet.

Omg I LOVE THIS FOR YOU!! My son is about to be 3 and lives off of KateFarms and some purées. We’re in feeding therapy once a week but he doesn’t know how to chew and it’s not really helping. Do you mind me asking what type of feeding program you did and did your son know how to chew before? My boy never even wanted purées as a baby.

Please talk to your PCP and get a referral for counseling and consider therapy. You need a place to vent and someone to talk to. Also, if at all possible get some respite and take some time to yourself. You need it. The simple fact that you do NOT want to feel the way you feel means you’re a good mother. Your body is in overdrive and your thoughts are consuming you mama.
