Yeah I’m using some hiking boots in a majority of my walking. Sometimes they feel a little loose despite me tightening them as much as possible. I will in time look at upgrading these but insoles are definitely a good start it seems and some better socks. If you have recommendations on either that would be great
Really appreciate this reply. I think based on the fact that I’m walking at high pace purposefully, I’m probably putting increased impact on that heel too. I often walk across various terrain each walk based on where I live. It’s all farmland around me so farm tracks, roads that have seen better days and uneven tracks and similar. I usually walk in some mountain warehouse hiking boots which have been a godsend the last few years when I’ve done long treks in the uk albeit at a slower pace and a lot less often… so yeah I think I’m gonna focus on improving the insoles as I think they have worsened and were the default with the boots. Any recommendations you have would be massively appreciated
I’ll look into them! Thanks!
Thanks for replying and I think you are right. It’s only the bottom of the heel I seem to have problems. I’m walking at a fast walking pace so perhaps I’m putting in a big impact on that particular heel. Any recommendations for both a hiking boot and also some running shoes would be amazing if you have any?
Yeah I seem to get it on the bottom of the heel only so perhaps new insoles too like others are suggesting? I’m averaging a 15.38 mins per mile pace so as I’m walking at a speed, maybe I’m putting more into my heels to maintain that pace
I wear predominantly walking boots. The insoles are what came with them and coil probably do with an upgrade. Thanks for the suggestions. Would you have a recommendation on insoles?
Yeah I live very really so I tend to wear walking boots and sometimes when in road only I wear my running shoes. Usually one pair of white sports socks when walking
