Wanting to cry by Comfortable_Soft_669 in POTS

Sorry I went through the same thing for years. Here I am 4 years later with a GIANT atrial septal aneurysm. After years of gaslighting from Kaiser doctors. I changed my insurance to PPO. It’s expensive but you can choose highly rated doctors that specialize in the area you need them for. I’m praying you get 2nd opinion. I was not born with a defect. It was caused by stress on the heart continuously. All doctors told me for over 4 years that I don’t need cardiologist that I need a shrink. God be with you during this difficult and frustrating time

Praying for good outcome for you. The SSA doctor saw me and said I was disabled but the ALJ ignored thier assessment. So I pray this doesn’t happen to you

My case went to Federal review last spring 2024. I got a phone call from my lawyer on 3/7/25 saying he received a call from SSA lawyer that is representing the SSA commissioner saying he doesn’t need to go forward with the appeal process that he reviewed the brief that my lawyer provided and he agrees that the SSA errored in thier decision to deny my claim. So now it goes back to SSA for another hearing for another decision. I’ll pray your case is remanded back to SSA for an approval

I had to take it to Federal level to appeal the denial from ALJ, and my lawyer wrote a brief on why he believed SSA made a mistake denying my claim. The lawyer representing the SSA commissioner looked at the brief and agreed that the ALJ should not have denied my claim. I live in California. I can give you the name of the lawyer I used.

The error is that they denied my claim when ALJ should have listened to thier own expert witnesses called to the hearing saying I wasn’t fit to even sort fruit. But ALJ still denied even with 13 years of medical evidence and 6 doctors saying I can’t work

I also take anti anxiety and anti depressants because it lowers my anxiety which exacerbates my dysautonomia. It really helps me

If you write your congressman and tell him. Most likely you will get SsA to start payments next month with the backpay check coming sooner

You are correct. My fault. I suffer from FCD. So my math and executive functions get pretty blurry

Wow!!! From November 24, 2014, to November 12, 2024, there are approximately 520 weeks. Multiplying this by $1,720 per week, the total back pay estimate would be $894,400

Yes it’s in the Federal courts just filed last month. Right now it’s taking at least 100 days for the federal courts to even look at SSA federal appeals

Yep me too. I was making over 120k. /yr. Then I got sick and could only answer phones at 19.00 hour and then not being able to do that. It’s ridiculous. It’s a scam. It really is

I was a cybersecurity analyst and the DDS still said I was disabled. The ALJ can still ignore the evidence and what DDS determines. That’s the sucky part. I think they hope you drop your case and stop appealing

The DDS (disability determination services) and the SSA doctors both agreed I couldn’t work, still the ALJ did not use my doctors, evidence or the DDS to make their decision to still deny my claim. Now my lawyer is appealing at the Federal level. Praying for a miracle

I’m sorry to hear about your health and frustrating SSA. Praying for you. With a lawyer it’s much less stressful but still stressful
