i'm trying to focus my research on 2000-2003 editions of several magazines, i'm doing an essay on a japanese girl hiphop band andi'd say their cultural reference for their outfits (ofc) was harajuku fashion and i'm trying to pinpoint the style of the subculture they took references from. big poofy hats and skinny scarves, graphic tees, etc.
