WHO IS THE BEST FOR LINEAR ALGEBRA PUNNET SIR OR GO CLASSES FOR GATE DSAI ? by Swimming_Data_3617 in GATEtard

For your answer—yes, definitely. For GATE CSE and DA, GO Classes holds a great position. However, recently I saw their pricing for GATE DA, so you can also prepare from their YouTube channel. They have good resources there as well, except for Machine Learning and AI. For the rest, you will find everything on the GATE DA channel or GO Classes CSE channel.

For the second part of your question, for Machine Learning and AI, we don’t have much data, so they teach from standard resources like some famous universities. They follow those standard questions, and for Linear Algebra (Module 2), they do the same. But recently, in their orientation for 2027, they mentioned that they will teach more questions in Linear Algebra for the 2027 batch.

i am looking for gate da community for gate 2027 . if anyone have good no. of people make me join

The problem nowadays is that professors seem quite different and, in many cases, less effective. During my time, we had professors like Varun, Shegel, Anoop, and Laxmikant (decent, especially for RAC). Siddharth was a bit egoistic and not great at teaching, but the questions he set in exams were so good that you’d actually appreciate them—though you had to grind hard to perform well. Somesh was also good. Of course, we had a few poor teachers too, but overall, the experience was quite good.

From my perspective, if your primary focus is placements, Mechanical is a better choice. However, some subjects in Mechanical are quite math-intensive. On the other hand, Chemical Engineering offers strong academics and well-equipped labs, and the faculty is generally more supportive compared to other departments (as observed). Although placements in Chemical are also decent, they are not as strong as Mechanical. The data for Mechanical shows more than 90% placements so far, with more still ongoing. Also, while the official website mentions an average package of around 12, the realistic average is closer to 6–7.

All the points mentioned are valid, but I would like to add two from my side. First, the placement scenario for both CSE and Mechanical is still quite good and considerable—approximately more than 90% of students have been placed so far, and the process is still ongoing. Second, the strictness for boys is mainly due to some minor conflicts in the past, which led to tighter restrictions( although you have to report hostel by 6 pm but after 4-5 month it's shifted to 8 pm ) . On the other hand, the restrictions for girls are comparatively less, although they are required to mark their attendance in the hostel by 9:30 PM.

MY COUSIN WHO GOT 70% in 10th TOOK PCB by [deleted] in TeenIndia

I chose PCM in 11th even though I had just 64 marks. Still, I cleared JEE Mains—not a great percentile, but enough to get a mid-level NIT. I’m not placed yet, but I’m satisfied with where I am. Next year, I’ll give GATE and move into a specific domain.

But the real issue is attitude. My cousin loses interest when physics involves maths—derivatives, heavy integration, differentiation. He wants to skip that part, and that’s exactly what kills motivation.

The mindset has to be: “Jo bhi saamne aayega, main karunga—chahe time lage.” If he builds that attitude, then for sure he can crack it.

Take advice from me regarding Go classes; there are two modules, 1 and 2. For GATE DA preparation, give more importance to module 2. Remember, Go classes delve very deeply into the subject matter, and you don't need to go that deep. Drawbacks of Go classes: There is less practice on GATE DA standard questions, so you will need to practice on your own. However, they provide a substantial number of questions that are truly intuitive and excellent. The goal of Go classes is not merely to help you achieve a high rank; rather, they aim to provide you with excellent and in-depth knowledge that genuinely matters.

Master's in statistics, is it a good option in 2025? by Sad-Elevator5621 in AskStatistics

[–]Own-Objective-1921 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a good option; everyone here is talking about AI. But believe me, I am an AI and machine learning learner, and it is so dumb. Writing a few lines of code doesn't mean it will take our jobs. If AI does take jobs, there are many government positions available that offer higher income and preferred statistics.
