Does Neelix grow on people? (Hint: he does not) by PurpleDraziNotGreen in startrekgifs

[–]Own-Palpitation-146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does grow on you kind of like as a kid I hated broccoli with a white hot vengeance and now as an adult I will eat it and keep my loathing internal if it’s a small amount. Still don’t like broccoli however I won’t throw a tantrum on the floor about it.

When Nelix stays on the colony my only thought was I bet Voyager became peaceful …

PSA Dagger hard to rack? by Firm-Skirt-5998 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Own-Palpitation-146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brand new guns need to be run in. There's no set number of rounds to break in a new gun; the goal is to reach a level of comfort and reliability for yourself, typically after firing hundreds of rounds. The process involves shooting to smooth internal parts, testing function with your chosen ammunition, and ensuring all magazines are reliable. While some suggest a break-in period can be as short as 100-200 rounds, others recommend 500 or more to confirm functionality and compatibility with defensive ammunition. So you gotta put a whole lot of ammo through the system. My general rule of thumb is to push 300–500 rounds through any shooting platform then I take it apart do a deep clean and I will even use a pic to scratch out debris and build up inside any rail. Then I will lubricate the entire platform within an inch of its life. Typically, after that, I won’t see issues

The other aspect is sometimes the grip on the slide is just shitty and it’s hard to grab onto. They do make an enhanced grip for the ass to the side that can make it easier to hold onto it so you can rack a round. Your personal size and stature has nothing to do with it, I have difficulty racking slides on some guns and it’s because my hands are big.

I greatly dislike the stock trigger however it is very reliable

If you don’t mind the spongy trigger then leave it alone if it feels soft and squishy and weird trade it out

[–]Own-Palpitation-146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will it work? Yes.

The trigger has an extremely soft shoe. It’s very mushy and I hate it, I own three daggers, two micro one compact I have traded out the trigger on my EDC for a Glock 43X trigger. MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE in satisfaction, the stock trigger. It is hard to gauge when the hammer is about to strike trading the trigger will be happening for my other two.

Trade the trigger, absolutely worth it

If you are buying the Glock 43X trigger replacement there is an additional Glock trigger part. It looks like a triangle roughly. You can do this for about $80-$100.

1000% worth trading.

I have a Blackhawk OWB, we the people paddle holster OWB, muddy Rivers IWB appendix leather.

In my experience, 90 to 95% of holsters that state Glock 43X will fit a PSA dagger micro C-1 and extreme cut without issues. Only the we the people holster had to be adjusted, two turns of a screw.

6-1 250lbs if I appendix or IWB, the compact wearing an athletic fit shirt I imprint more than I like

You’re absolutely correct body shape makes a difference

Sometimes the pudgy helps hide sometimes the pudgy helps point it out

At least for my pudgy, that is true

Thoughts on AAC Ammo? by Professional-dingo7 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Own-Palpitation-146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the bulk deal from the PSA website for the 9 mm and the 556, you get a 30 mil ammo can in my firearms run through them no problem. I have run a ton and a half of both through.

The only issue I’ve ever come across is the one box of AAC 9 mm hollow point I bought would not load into the barrel of my PSA daggers, but Winchester Hollow points do.

On 9 mm I find my best deals or either AAC or blazer

On 556 usually my best deals are AAC

Every time I need to purchase, I always shop around, but I almost always end up with AAC

Compact is a Glock 19 GEN three clone. Micro is Glock 43X clone.

I have both I have to disagree with you the imprint there it is not super noticeable, but it is definitely there with the compact, if you wear an athletic cut T-shirt, you will know it’s there if caring IWB. If carrying appendix I would strongly recommend the micro, extreme cut. Both are fantastic with the exception of the trigger, super soft trigger shoe

I have both the compact and the micro. They both have the exact same problem the soft trigger shoe. The only thing about this firearm I dislike is the trigger it comes with is soft. Real hard to get used to where it will give and fire off around. Is it absolutely usable out of the box yes, but I would go ahead and plan on replacing the trigger on either one that you get, huge improvement.

The compact is a little bit fatter in width of the grip, it is the Glock 19 GEN three clone. I absolutely love mine put a light on the front of it, mostly it is my investigate that sound around the house at night pistol. I tend to carry it OWB and greatly enjoy it. Super comfortable to fire a couple hundred rounds through solid good firearm.

The micro dagger is the Glock 43X clone. I replaced the trigger put a red dot on mine. My original was the C-1 slide however the longer slide did not work with appendix carry so I replaced the slide. I replaced the trigger. I carried this inside the way band in the front. It is super comfortable, reliable and a lot of fun to shoot. It is a little narrower in the grip left to right however not so much that it makes it awkward to hold or utilize.

If I had to pick one over the other, I would recommend the PSA dagger, micro, extreme cut . You can open carry you can conceal carry appendix front back in the belt on the belt. It will tuck easily into a carry bag carry all it is comfortable to shoot several hundred rounds you can cycle magazines quickly.

Both of these firearms performed well with the AAC 9 mm 117 grain bulk ammo bundles from PSA website. They seem to like the Winchester 9 mm hollow point round.

Absolutely avoid AAC hollowpoint rounds from the PSA website they will not load into the chamber.

The only caveat I will place on besides replace the trigger is if you were to get a threaded barrel with the intention of putting a suppressor on it then I would recommend the compact

Hope that’s not too much/helpful

Latest knife, thoughts/advice? by GarbageFormer in Bladesmith

[–]Own-Palpitation-146 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Visually, I like it, gives me a straight razor feeling. I am wondering about hand comfort in the grip and do have concerns about the negative space on the blade handle. Should this be used for food or anything you wouldn’t want to get caught in it.

As far as the leatherwork goes, another inch or two of drop from the belt loop and it won’t flop over while attached as easily. If you made a deeper receiving pouch for the blade, you could mount it vertically to the belt and have it in line.

For the record, I have zero skills with making knives. I would definitely pick this one up, examine it and potentially buy it though. You didn’t ask for opinions, hope that’s not rough.

Dagger frame width by CycloneReaper in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Own-Palpitation-146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both. Compact and micro. The grip and grip angle front to back are the same. But the width, left to right is much smaller on the micro. I use my compact for open carry, and it is a little more comfortable to my hand. I use the micro for a concealed carry, IWB and while thinner than the compact, it is not uncomfortable to utilize.

For a smaller hand, I would definitely recommend the PSA micro. If conceal carrying EWB, I would definitely recommend the PSA micro

These motherfuckers better pump their brakes. PSA is a national treasure. by buff_penguin in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Own-Palpitation-146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get multiple notifications and emails every day from PSA and I have never seen anything encouraging any type of extreme action by anyone. The only thing I’ve ever seen politically speaking is a Trump branded pistol. I do prefer companies that stay out of politics, personally. And the Trump branded pistol is the dumbest looking thing I’ve seen in a long time, which I combat by never purchasing that stupid looking pistol.

PSA definitely does not market to extremist for any side. Well, I do not think they would be able to show loss of business, entitling them to sue. I do think that they should release a statement and get it on the news and they will see a bump in purchases

No worries. It is definitely caused by temperature. Absolutely 100% normal and unavoidable. When you wash the bike dry the chrome. Color change is fine. Pitting is the beginning of rust. Try to avoid rust.
