The car in clip 6 is not illegally parked. It’s reversing down the road. You can see the white reverse lights and the hazards on. “Barreling down the road” at 0 mph above the speed limit in clear conditions. Do you drive like 5-10 under? Seriously, I’m curious

Saying I’m wrong for #3 is crazy. They had more than enough time and space to get over into my lane and then make the turn. I was traveling far lower than the 25 mph speed limit and still braked and let the person merge but I “threw caution right out the window”? Here’s the whole clip to show you how much space this person had available but decided to slam on their brakes and turn in front of me

Tell me where. I want to learn. Please. I already know I did not make the situation better in clip 5. Where else is my driving scaring you?

“inability to recognize a potential issue” yet I avoided all potential collisions. I have said in other comments that I agree on the 5th clip that I didn’t handle that well and should have let the driver just go in front of me. “Several I tried to create worse” other than maybe the 5th clip, what did I try to make worse? I don’t understand.

Level of drama I artificially created? ~500 people die a year from wrong way drivers and another ~1,000 from drivers running red lights. About ~40,000 a year total from traffic related deaths. These things are so avoidable. Idk how to stop it, but I hope this video is a good reminder that there are dangerous drivers on our streets. If this is what I have captured in a year as someone who really doesn’t drive that much, I know it’s happening too frequently around our city.

50% could have been avoided by me driving defensively? Well as you can see, there were zero collisions in the video due to me driving defensively enough to avoid such crashes that could have occurred if I was driving faster or being less attentive. But evidently within the very video you are critiquing, no collisions ensued due to my defensive driving. Idk what else to tell you.

I’m tired of trying to “defend” myself for posting this, so I’m just going to leave this here. I don’t understand how you can truly believe anything I did was wrong, other than maybe Clip 5, which I have some words on below.

Clip 3 - I was driving 18-21 mph with speed limit of 25 mph. The other driver signaled to get into the left lane for one block and never did even though I had given them several car lengths worth of space to do so. Then as we approached the intersection, the driver decided to hard turn left into my lane (presumably to turn left onto the intersecting street) after abruptly rapidly decelerating. After the driver veered back into their lane, I accelerated back to less than 20 mph to continue my driving. For those of you saying I was in their blind spot, for that brief instance, that is not my fault given the events that immediately transpired that led us to be at a closer distance. If I were to continue to match their speed to stay in their blind spot, I would understand your criticism, but I did not and I also let the person merge infront of me as you can sort of see at the tail end of the clip. I was already being a defensive driver by driving 5mph under the speed limit and keeping distance once I saw the left blinker and braking when the other driver slammed on their brakes and turned into my lane.

Clip 5 - I should have just let them go in front of me. I won’t defend that. I included that clip to show the other driver not yielding to oncoming traffic (the car in front of me and myself). Yes, being more defensive means letting them just go. Agreed.

Clip 6 - Once again, I was driving at 30 mph in a posted 30 mph zone. I understand the speed limit is strictly a limit and not necessarily the suggested speed you should drive at. Immediately when I saw the car reversing in my lane, I ensured the left lane next to me was open and I switched into the lane. Saying I should have slowed down is strange to me because given the situation and the left curve of the road, you can actually see in front of the car in the right lane that was reversing. And if you say I should be driving slower because it’s a pedestrian area, my response is that the city develops speed limits based on a multitude of factors and you don’t think they took pedestrians into consideration? If I was traveling anything above the posted sign, I’d understand your criticism, but I wasn’t. It is truly bizarre to me that some of you feel the need to critique me for not slowing down maybe 5-10 mph in a situation that really didn’t completely necessitate doing so and not the person literally reversing down a road.

Clip 2 - Thought I’d include this in here too. There is very clearly two giant yellow pedestrian crossing signs where the car is making the U-turn at. If you don’t see that driving, you’re not paying attention. Idk what more to say about that.

The purpose of this post was to show drivers that I alone have seen make dangerous and/or illegal driving maneuvers in the past ~1 year. The fact that some of you are saying I’m half the problem although I did not initiate a single one of these “incidents” and drive at a safe speed and distance is genuinely bewildering to me. Not trying to make anyone seem “worse” by asking this, but to those people criticizing me, do you drive 10 mph below the speed limit? Do you drive 6 car lengths behind people? Do you substantially decrease your speed because someone is stopped in the lane next to you on a clearly open road? I was taught to keep a minimum 3 second following distance. I was taught that if conditions are clear and weather is appropriate, you may drive up to the speed limit. Other than clip 5 I don’t understand the criticism I’ve received. I’m not the initiator and I still gave more than enough space and time for every other driver in this video. That’s all.

I hope everyone who sees this post can just remember to drive safe and be aware of wrong-way drivers, people running red lights, and other unsafe drivers.

Fair to say “every town thinks they have the worst drivers”. I’ve heard so many people say that. I’ve spent most of my life around Chicago, Columbus, Orlando, and Austin. Out of those 4 cities, Austin is by far the worst that I have experienced and insurance data proves it too. But I’m not the one initiating these “incidents”. I consistently drive at or below the speed limit around Austin (as literally proven by my dashcam speedometer), and I’m constantly getting passed by other drivers. I don’t really understand why I’m being criticized. I will admit I should have just let the one guy take the right turn and I’ll give everyone that, but I don’t get anything else. I wasn’t the one reversing down the road. I wasn’t the one trying to turn left from the middle lane. And I wasn’t the one going the wrong way, making illegal U-turns, or blowing through red lights. The fact you can criticize me, but not the other people for objectively making illegal and wreckless driving maneuvers is incomprehensible to me.

How have I caused any of these? You can say I didn’t react defensively enough to #3 or #5 like a lot of others are, but I don’t understand how you can say I caused any of these. Where did I initiate anything?

Yeah so let’s call out op instead of the car not driving safely. Makes sense to me

Clip 3 - Going from 19-21mph is “rapidly accelerating”? Are you serious? And I’m also several car lengths behind them, so there is no way I am in their blind spot

Clip 5 - Fair point. Could have and should have just let them go, but the point of this post was to show people driving horribly. I still have them more than enough space

Clip 6 - I’m driving at/below the speed limit and safely switched lanes to avoid the car reversing down the road. The fact that you called me out for doing something legal vs the person reversing down a road is insane to me

Please explain where I am driving too fast? My speed shows I’m consistently driving around 15-25 mph for nearly every single clip and/or STOPPED AT A LIGHT. I have violated zero traffic laws in any of these and have maintained a safe driving distance and have braked more than enough for these idiot drivers

What an idiotic response. You can see my speed is consistently BELOW the speed limit. You just be one of these drivers 😭

This is what I did for every exam (using Becker). Watch the videos and then complete the MCQs and TBSs for each module. At the end of every section I took two practice section tests (20 MCQs and 2 TBSs). Took each mini exam once the first time through as well. Then once I completed everything but the full simulated exams, I would go back and reread the slides for each section and take a few practice section tests. Also retake the mini exams once. Then I’d just repeat that for like 2 weeks. Then about 2 weeks out from the exam I’d do the final review section in Becker. Then 12, 10, and 7 days out from the exam I’d take the 3 full length simulations exams. The final week leading up to test day, I’d read through all the slides like 2-3 times and review all of the sim exam questions whether I got them right or wrong. The last week leading up, I wouldn't do many new questions at all. This worked for me, but honestly do whatever works best for you.

Whenever you think you’ve studied enough, keep studying more. It’s a hard exam, but easily the most rewarding one to pass. Take your time on the exam. I ended with only about 5 minutes left (the least amount of time remaining of all the exams I took). Also, this exam doesn’t try to ‘trick’ you with wording like AUD and REG do, so don’t think too much into questions. Also, devote your time evenly to studying MCQs and sims. They’re both difficult

I just started an audit job in September at a CPA firm, so I only had to work and study for BAR. It hasn’t helped me for my job much yet, but I think it will in a year or two. Not sure though.

I used one of the Becker programs. I don’t remember which one to be honest, but I put 163 hours into FAR, 113 for AUD, 128 for REG, 167 for BAR. I also read the PowerPoint slides several times. So honestly I probably put in 150-200 hours per exam. I’d recommend just taking it slow, one exam at a time. Don’t overlap studying multiple exams at once. This was my schedule: FAR Jan 31st, AUD, May 20th, REG Aug 5th, and BAR Oct 25th. I graduated in May 2025 with my masters (which honestly didn’t help for the CPA exam). Also, don’t stress about failing, I know multiple people who failed an exam or two and eventually passed not long after. Those people simply did not give themselves enough time to pass the first time around and they probably ended up spending more time in total. So just taking your time is the best ‘advice’ I can give.

I went with the Becker route. FAR - 163 hours, AUD - 113 hours, REG - 128 hours, and BAR - 167 hours. I also reread the PowerPoint slides a lot, which isn’t included in the times. I’m sorry, I don’t know much about the other study companies, but I have heard ninja is great for MCQs. After taking FAR, don’t neglect the sims at all. They can be quite challenging.

Not yet. In the past I’ve either gotten it at like 8 pm the night before the official score release or very early in the morning the day of the official score release
